Devlog#12: Mara + BETA preparations

I would like to divide this post into two parts, so let's start with the important part: Mara.
Mara... Mara's balance between ‘noble/elegant’ and naughty is challenging to maintain. This is due to her background.
That's why both new levels took me several attempts to complete. As I said, Mara is quite a challenge for me, at least in her first levels.
Even so, in level 2 we'll have our first encounter with her:
This includes a brief encounter with Anna, in which we'll discover that Mara can change her attitude quite a bit if we get serious with her.
Level 3 is something where the final result is different from what I had planned at first. That's the thing about improvisation and working with a character that is ‘complex’ for me.
I decided that the MC should have a little more involvement in this level, and I also decided that Mara should behave in a more serious tone to allow for a deeper talk about her.
This will lead to a contrast that will catch everyone off guard, as level 4 will be the one you all know, but with the dialogues modified and adapted to follow a logical flow.
As I said, this is the level you already know, where we see Mara's naughty side for the first time, unlocking her sexiness.
And... that's all for Mara.
Yes, even I'm a little ‘disappointed’ with Mara's cap. My idea was to create a new level + the first part of bathing with her to unlock her love + stretching session level, but after what I've experienced with her these past few days, I'd rather not risk it because I might reorder the levels. We'll see the final decision in v2.
I have to say that I'm having a lot of fun making these new levels, which are more focused on getting to know the girls' stories rather than their bodies. I enjoy making NSFW content, but I enjoy working on the depth of the characters, locations, story... even more.
That's why I decided that Mara's cap would be level 4 and dedicate that extra time to a new feature that will only be available to the secondary girls for now, but may be expanded to all the girls: The chit-chat.
Even though it's not translated and there's no context, it's easy: the dynamics of the secondary girls have changed. From now on, they will also have a little more depth in their stories, and thanks to that, we will be able to learn more about them, the Town, Gold Valley, other places...
Taking the screenshot as an example, we will have a first option to talk about Glenda's profession, which will also serve to learn how she became who she is briefly.
The second option is life in Gold Valley. In this case, Glenda will tell us what life is like in GV from her perspective, living practically in the forest.
And the last option is progress. This is unlocked after completing the first rank quest, where she will briefly mention that she is aware of what we did at Mona's shop.
Each girl has her own dialogue according to her personality. Mona will talk about her life as a Tailor and Businesswoman, and Mabel will give us a more varied perspective thanks to being a Bard.
All of this will happen every few levels. For example, for this first version, the dialogues are unlocked at levels 2 and 4, the latter being the version cap. Level 3 is something naughty. Still, I plan that from time to time, they will also have ‘their own level,’ although not literally, but something much shorter, focused on them.
And that's all.
Right now I'm focused on finishing things that I thought I had already finished but turns out I hadn't, polishing details here and there, adding the last interface/code changes... getting everything ready for the beta, basically.
I'm really looking forward to finishing all this, which is why there are a few cuts here and there. I need to finish this already and finally be able to take a break for a few days. However, it's funny, because as soon as the beta is available, I have to focus on working on things outside of LA (Patreon, Itch, dc, Twitter, etc.), at least for a few days.
So... unless something happens, there won't be a devlog on Tuesday, and the beta should be available on Wednesday, Thursday at the latest.
After the beta, I'll do the overview, which I recommend to everyone, as I'll explain in more detail all the decisions made over the last few months, and especially these last few weeks.

Me gustaría dividir el post en dos partes, así que primero vayamos a la parte importante: Mara.
El balance de Mara entre "noble/elegante" y traviesa es un balance muy dificil de mantener balanceado (joder). Esto se debe a su transfondo.
Es por eso que ambos niveles nuevos me han llevado varios intentos (reescribir) hasta tenerlos completos. Como digo, Mara es todo un reto para mí, al menos en sus primeros niveles.
Aun así, en el nivel 2 tendremos un primer contacto con ella:
Esto incluye un pequeño encuentro con Anna mientras que descubriremos que Mara puede cambiar bastante su actitud si nos ponemos serios con ella.
El nivel 3 es algo que el resultado final es totalmente distinto a lo que tenia planeado en un principio. Cosas de la improvisación y trabajar con un personaje "complejo" para mí.Decidí que el MC tuviese algo más de participación en este nivel y tambien decidí que Mara se comportase en un tono más serio para dar paso a hablar más sobre ella.
Que esto dará pie a un contraste que pillará con la guardia baja a todo el mundo, pues su nivel 4 será el que todos conoceis pero con los dialogos modificados y adaptados para que siga una logica.Como digo, este es el nivel que ya conoceis donde vemos por primera vez el lado travieso de Mara desbloqueando así su sexiness.
Y eso es todo en cuanto a Mara.
Sí, hasta yo estoy un poco "decepcionado" con el cap de Mara, pues mi idea era hacer otro nivel nuevo + primera parte de bañarte con ella para desbloquear su love + sesión de estiramientos, pero... despues de lo vivido estos días con ella, prefiero no arriesgarme porque a lo mejor los niveles los ordeno de otra manera. Esto lo veremos en la v2.
He de decir que estoy pasandomelo bastante bien haciendo estos nuevos niveles que están más enfocados en conocer a las chicas antes que a su cuerpo. Disfruto haciendo contenido nsfw, pero disfruto aun más trabajando en la profundidad de los personajes, lugares, historia...
Es por eso que decidí que el cap de Mara sería nivel 4 y dedicar ese tiempo extra a una nueva feature que tendrán por el momento solamente las chicas secundarias pero quizás se expanda a todas: El chit-chat.Aunque no haya contexto alguno, es facil: La dinamica de las chicas secundarias a cambiado. A partir de ahora, ellas tambien tendrán un poco más de profundidad en sus historias y gracias a eso, podremos conocer más de ellas, del pueblo, Gold Valley, otros lugares...
Tomando de ejemplo la captura, tendremos una primera opción que es hablar sobre la profesion de Glenda, que esto a su vez servirá para conocer de forma muy breve el como llegó a ser quien es.
Segunda opción, la vida en Gold Valley. Glenda nos hablará en este caso como es la vida en GV desde su perspectiva, viviendo practicamente en el bosque.
Y la ultima opción, progreso. Esto se desbloquea al terminar la primera misión de rango, donde nos comentará brevemente que está al tanto de lo que hicimos en la tienda de Mona.
Cada chica tiene sus dialogos propios acorde a la chica. Mona hablará sobre su vida como Sastre y empresaria, y Mabel nos dará una perspectiva más variada gracias a ser Barda.
Todo esto ocurrirá cada pocos niveles. Por ejemplo, para esta primera versión, los dialogos se desbloquean a nivel 2 y 4, siendo este ultimo el cap de versión. El nivel 3 es algo travieso. Aún así, planeo que de vez en cuando, ellas tambien tengan "su propio nivel" aunque no literal, si no algo mucho más corto, pero centrado en ellas.
Y eso es todo.
Ahora mismo estoy centrado en terminar las cosas que pensaba que ya habia terminado pero resulta que no, puliendo detalles aquí y allí, añadiendo los ultimos cambios de interfaz/codigo... preparando todo para la beta, básicamente.
Tengo muchisimas ganas de terminar todo esto, por eso es que hay algunos cortes aquí y allí. Necesito terminar esto ya y por fin poder darme un respiro por unos días. Aunque es gracioso, porque tal como la beta esté disponible, tengo que centrarme en trabajar en cosas fuera de LA (Patreon, Itch, dc, twitter, etc), al menos durante unos días.
Así que... a no ser que ocurra algo, el martes no habrá ningun devlog, y el miercoles debería estar disponible la beta. Como muy tarde, el jueves.
Tras la beta, haré el overview, el cual recomiendo a todo el mundo pues ahí explicaré más en detalle todas las decisiones tomadas a lo largo de estos meses y especialmente estas ultimas semanas.
