-----------------------------------------
For many years now, folks have been asking me to make old episodes of the Ken P.D. Snydecast available, as the first 159 episodes have been in the vault for the better part of the last decade.
For those of you unfamiliar with the show, it was one of the first podcasts... well, ever... starting back in January of 2006 and running a total of 234 episodes over 11 years. Here's the show's description:
- Adult Swim's Dana Snyder and FRED Entertainment's Ken Plume set out to have a literate conversation between two pals, but inevitably devolve into a verbal, and funny, free-for-all full of bickering, infighting, and the special kind of male bonding that comes from conflict expressed through the podcast medium.
And that was it, really. Just two pals chatting about whatever. And arguing about ridiculous things.
Over the coming months, I'll be releasing those old episodes in batches here as Patron exclusives (so, please don't distribute them). Some of the early episodes are a bit sonically rough, but if you want to listen to them, now you can.
Attached to this post, you'll find TWO zip files containing the following episodes:
- Ken P. D. SnydeCast #71: A Turkey And A Ham
- Ken & Dana return with a post-Thanksgiving discussion of nude former classmates, nudity in general, a little bit of mail, and what they're both thankful for.
- Ken P. D. SnydeCast #72: Neverending Stories
- Ken & Dana return with an episode that shatters all previous records, and provide those who desire nothing more than conversational background noise the ability to work for a really, really long time without getting up. Oh, and they talk about stuff.
- Ken P. D. SnydeCast #73: Listeners Like You
- Ken & Dana return with an episode filled with talk of turkey preparation, french onion soup, stress at the holidays, simple clarifications, multitasking, Kevin Costner's apocalyptic visions, bread and circuses, and an appeal to their fans.
- Ken P. D. SnydeCast #74: The Yule Teeth
- Ken & Dana return with a pre-holiday episode stuffed with festive cheer, including a visit from a not-so-jolly old elf, talk of holiday music, and a little music-making of their own.
- Ken P. D. SnydeCast #75: The Christmas Horn
- Ken & Dana return with a joyously happy holiday episode that rings the bells and decks the halls and has plenty a ghost from Christmases past, present, and future.
More to come, but for now - Enjoy!
