-----------------------------------------
For many years now, folks have been asking me to make old episodes of the Ken P.D. Snydecast available, as the first 159 episodes have been in the vault for the better part of the last decade.
For those of you unfamiliar with the show, it was one of the first podcasts... well, ever... starting back in January of 2006 and running a total of 234 episodes over 11 years. Here's the show's description:
- Adult Swim's Dana Snyder and FRED Entertainment's Ken Plume set out to have a literate conversation between two pals, but inevitably devolve into a verbal, and funny, free-for-all full of bickering, infighting, and the special kind of male bonding that comes from conflict expressed through the podcast medium.
And that was it, really. Just two pals chatting about whatever. And arguing about ridiculous things.
Over the coming months, I'll be releasing those old episodes in batches here as Patron exclusives (so, please don't distribute them). Some of the early episodes are a bit sonically rough, but if you want to listen to them, now you can.
Attached to this post, you'll find TWO zip files containing the following episodes:
- Ken P. D. SnydeCast #61: Mega-Giga-Uber-Super-Size-A-Thon
- What happens when Ken and Dana return from their travels and unwind in front of microphones? You get this long, probably rambling, extended length episode perfect for multitasking to. Frankly, even we don't remember what in the hell we talked about, so let this be a journey of discovery for all of us.
- Ken P. D. SnydeCast #62: Kiss My Grits
- Ken & Dana return with a trip down trivia lane, advise one and all on the art of tipping, and rather heatedly discuss fast food pronunciation.
- Ken P. D. SnydeCast #63: Go Green!
- Ken & Dana return with a mostly special episode featuring the burdens of the acting profession, plus a very special guest - a real Hollywood actress!
- Ken P. D. SnydeCast #64: Bastard Alfalfa
- Ken & Dana return and, after some quick back-patting and talk of big people sizes, are almost immediately derailed by a discussion of the tortured history of the various Little Rascals, from Alfalfa to Spanky to Chubby to Buckwheat to other ethnic and physical stereotypes. It's a grand time!
- Ken P. D. SnydeCast #65: The Amazing Kazobo
- Ken & Dana return with a descent into the world of novelty instruments - a journey that is sure to delight at least a tiny portion of our audience in addition to our hosts. And more stuff happens, too. Really.
More to come, but for now - Enjoy!
-Ken
