-----------------------------------------
For many years now, folks have been asking me to make old episodes of the Ken P.D. Snydecast available, as the first 159 episodes have been in the vault for the better part of the last decade.
For those of you unfamiliar with the show, it was one of the first podcasts... well, ever... starting back in January of 2006 and running a total of 234 episodes over 11 years. Here's the show's description:
- Adult Swim's Dana Snyder and FRED Entertainment's Ken Plume set out to have a literate conversation between two pals, but inevitably devolve into a verbal, and funny, free-for-all full of bickering, infighting, and the special kind of male bonding that comes from conflict expressed through the podcast medium.
And that was it, really. Just two pals chatting about whatever. And arguing about ridiculous things.
Over the coming months, I'll be releasing those old episodes in batches here as Patron exclusives (so, please don't distribute them). Some of the early episodes are a bit sonically rough, but if you want to listen to them, now you can.
Attached to this post, you'll find TWO zip files containing the following episodes:
- Ken P. D. SnydeCast #56: Stupendium Of World Knowledge
- Ken & Dana return with a trip to the workshop, a salute to their oldest listener, in-flight emergencies, and then go to war on Wikipedia. War!
- Ken P. D. SnydeCast #57: The Secrect Society of GI Fez
- Ken & Dana return with talk of family trees, secret societies and their memorization skills, DragonCon plans, radio DJs, Zak and his donkey, and more.
- Ken P. D. SnydeCast #58: Things And Stuff
- Ken & Dana return with a heated discussion about what constitutes a proper level of sharing, and then beat the discussion into the ground. And then kick it some more. They also talk about The Village People. For far too long. And then chat helms.
- Ken P. D. SnydeCast #59: Episode IV - A New Outfit
- It is a period of civil war. The Duck and The Reverend go road trippin' through the slums of Atlanta to find clothes and some Christian chicken. Along the way they play iPod roulette and make fun of the many places of worship that they pass.
- Ken P. D. SnydeCast #60: A-Ramblin'
- Ken & Dana return with a far-ranging treatise on this and that, including catching up on just where their travels have taken them, a journey into the recent past, a smidge of banter, and more.
More to come, but for now - Enjoy!
-Ken
