-----------------------------------------
For many years now, folks have been asking me to make old episodes of the Ken P.D. Snydecast available, as the first 159 episodes have been in the vault for the better part of the last decade.
For those of you unfamiliar with the show, it was one of the first podcasts... well, ever... starting back in January of 2006 and running a total of 234 episodes over 11 years. Here's the show's description:
- Adult Swim's Dana Snyder and FRED Entertainment's Ken Plume set out to have a literate conversation between two pals, but inevitably devolve into a verbal, and funny, free-for-all full of bickering, infighting, and the special kind of male bonding that comes from conflict expressed through the podcast medium.
And that was it, really. Just two pals chatting about whatever. And arguing about ridiculous things.
Over the coming months, I'll be releasing those old episodes in batches here as Patron exclusives (so, please don't distribute them). Some of the early episodes are a bit sonically rough, but if you want to listen to them, now you can.
Attached to this post, you'll find TWO zip files containing the following episodes:
- Ken P. D. SnydeCast #51: Cats Do Dance
- Ken & Dana return for another round of something or another, as Dana checks in while on the road with a not terribly good mic, as conversation turns to two of the greatest Vegas shows ever, a meal of sickeningly immense proportions, famous last words, the Henson legacy, and much more.
- Ken P. D. SnydeCast #52: Holland Tunnel Vision
- Ken & Dana return with another of their patented "Dana Is On The Road So The Sound Quality Is Iffy" extravaganzas, as our dynamic duo trade compliments, take a letter from a time traveler, and even debate whether or not Dana's seen the yo-yo version of a different kind of traveler.
- Ken P. D. SnydeCast #53: Fleet Feet And All You Can Eat
- Ken & Dana return with another installment to both baffle and alienate, as they launch into a discussion of the late, great Jack Benny before announcing the potential launch of their own little nerd Olympics. Then they answer the great buffet debate, before winding things down with a very special message.
- Ken P. D. SnydeCast #54: Wiki Or Won't He
- Ken & Dana return with post-Comic-Con tales of gift giving etiquette, reminders of competitions past, declare themselves the world's most "Multi-poded" podcast out there, and cry out for a crazy uberfan. Oh, and to hell with those bastards at Wikipedia.
- Ken P. D. SnydeCast #55: Blessed's Alive!
- Ken & Dana return... Well, at least one of them do, for a very special - and particularly odd - episode full of wit and whimsy. Really.
More to come, but for now - Enjoy!
-Ken
