-----------------------------------------
For many years now, folks have been asking me to make old episodes of the Ken P.D. Snydecast available, as the first 159 episodes have been in the vault for the better part of the last decade.
For those of you unfamiliar with the show, it was one of the first podcasts... well, ever... starting back in January of 2006 and running a total of 234 episodes over 11 years. Here's the show's description:
- Adult Swim's Dana Snyder and FRED Entertainment's Ken Plume set out to have a literate conversation between two pals, but inevitably devolve into a verbal, and funny, free-for-all full of bickering, infighting, and the special kind of male bonding that comes from conflict expressed through the podcast medium.
And that was it, really. Just two pals chatting about whatever. And arguing about ridiculous things.
Over the coming months, I'll be releasing those old episodes in batches here as Patron exclusives (so, please don't distribute them). Some of the early episodes are a bit sonically rough, but if you want to listen to them, now you can.
Attached to this post, you'll find TWO zip files containing the following episodes:
- Ken P. D. SnydeCast #31: Photographs and Memories
- Ken & Dana return for their first regular episode in almost 6 months, loaded with apologies and promises for a much smoother and more regular schedule for a brand new year, plus loads of other assorted stuff you've come to expect from their award-winning podcast.
- Ken P. D. SnydeCast #32: Golden Bets
- Ken & Dana return with their 2nd annual Oscars bet, wherein they both challenge each other's prognostication skills and make another round of ludicrous wagers.
- Ken P. D. SnydeCast #33: A Total Eclipse Of The Heart
- Ken & Dana return with the results of their 2nd annual Oscars bet, wherein Ken decides that he's no longer going to enter into ludicrous wagers with Dana ever again. Ever. Period.
- Ken P. D. SnydeCast #34: Cabin Fever
- Ken & Dana return with a debate on the definition of what can be called a sitcom, continue to refine their own pitch, discuss the awkwardness of public interaction, and fulfill yet another outstanding wager.
- Ken P. D. SnydeCast #35: The Cow Part Of The Brain
- Ken & Dana return with tales of photo Muppets, TV recommendations, seafood, the appeal of beef jerky, party eating, Star Trek, octogenarian fatherhood, Hollyclowns, awkward sartorial choices from the past, jury duty, Dana's better brother, and even a peek into the mail bag.
More to come, but for now - Enjoy!
