Venture Bros. Holiday Songs!
🕑 Added 2019-12-11 08:04:59 +0000 UTCHey there! Guess what? There are surprises aplenty this holiday season!
FIRST: I recorded a 2.5 hour-long conversation with Doc Hammer in which we talked about the creation of every single one of the Venture Bros. holiday songs - from the very first to the very latest, in-depth - as well as just having a fun, rollicking chat. This very special Holiday Bit Of A Chat with Doc is available at bit.ly/hammerholiday (or by going to the SHOP link in my Patreon menu).
SECOND: Is there a new holiday song this year? YES, THERE IS... And IT IS NOW AVAILABLE! (Doc and I also talked about this year's new track in the Bit Of A Chat mentioned above!) You'll find the new song as both an individual download or via the comprehensive zip file attached at the bottom of this post.
That's right - if you scroll down to the bottom of this post, you'll find a downloadable zip file containing ALL of the holiday songs from past years, *and* a few other bonus goodies, all of which are explained in the post below.
HAPPY HOLIDAYS, everyone, and GO TEAM VENTURE!
---------------------------------
For many years, the fine folks at Astrobase Go (Jackson Publick & Doc Hammer) have been providing fans with exclusive holiday singles.
In 2004, The Monarch & Dr. Girlfriend gave us their take on the Bowie/Crosby “Peace on Earth/Little Drummer Boy“…
2005 brought the tender trio of The Monarch and Henchmen Nos. 21 & 24 belting out "Hard Candy Christmas” during The Monarch’s incarceration…
2006 delivered the epic “Venture Aid 2006“…
2007 found The Monarch & Dr. Girlfriend tackling a timeless holiday duet, “Fairytale Of New York”…
2008 was a bittersweet affair, as Henchmen 21 & 24 sung a tune that was recorded in June of that year, to get it out of the way so they wouldn’t have to worry about it during their big vacation in Cancun. Sadly, there would never to be a “Henchmen Cancun ‘08″, but you do get their rendition of "Wonderful Christmastime"…
In 2009, The Monarch recorded a very special gift for Dr. Mrs. The Monarch with the help of Henchman 21 and the Moppets, Kevin & Tim-Tom - "The Chipmunk Song"…
2010 found the totally hard-rocking Shallow Gravy releasing their “Fan Club Christmas Album 2010″…
For 2011, we got a heartwarming duet from The Monarch and Dr. Mrs. The Monarch, “Baby It’s Cold In Here”…
2015 brought together Dragoon and Red Mantle for a rousing Guild Christmas Cabaret rendition of “The Misers”…
2019 delivered a touching present from O.S.I. agent Shore Leave - “Last Christmas”…
For 2021, Shallow Gravy returned with a holiday crunch on a far-out festive favorite - “A Spaceman Came Travelling”…
For 2022, The Monarch, Dr. Mrs. The Monarch, and Henchman 21 try to bring some festive arching into the holiday season with “Peril Of The Bells”…
For 2023, the Christopher St. residents - Colonel Gentleman, The Action Man, Rose, Billy Quizboy, & Pete White - glam it up with a rocking rendition of “Merry Xmas Everybody”…
Ah, but before we go, let’s dig into the vaults for a few more vintage goodies from Team Venture…
After the penultimate events depicted in “Trial of the Monarch” left the titular supervillain with a one way ticket to the hoosegow and the relationship with his beloved Dr. Girlfriend in shambles, the season finale found Team Venture on a course destined to bring only death, destruction, and questions aplenty.
Direct from our shadowy, barely legal network of sources and informants – Here are the actual recordings of the Monarch’s prison phone calls to Dr. Girlfriend and his henchmen.
“Monarch’s call to Dr. Girlfriend”
“Monarch’s call to Henchmen Nos. 21 & 24″
Here’s 21 & 24’s Wedding Single, celebrating the nuptials of The Monarch & Dr. Girlfriend…

-music by Doc Hammer, lyrics by Doc Hammer & Jackson Publick III
And finally, if you’ve purchased your copy of the complete first season on DVD, you’re aware that only about half the episodes have audio commentary from Jackson Publick and Doc Hammer.
Jackson & Doc sent over a “lost” audio commentary that didn’t make it on to the set, for episode 1×03 – “Home Insecurity”. The commentary was dropped for space issues on the set, as well as a minor technical glitch in the sound.
I’ve done my best to clean things up, and it’s well worth giving a listen.

And again - You'll find every one of these tracks by downloading the zip file attached to this post. Enjoy!
