New Users Guide: Foundry VTT and VTTA tools
🕑 Added 2020-01-08 05:47:06 +0000 UTCIn this guide, I want to go through the initial setup of a new Foundry VTT installation on Microsoft Windows 10 and Microsoft Chromium Edge Browser.
The following software versions are used, so if you are watching this video later, your version numbers might be different and the behaviour might have changed, too:
- Foundry VTT Version v0.4.3
- VTTAssets D&D Beyond v1.0.9
- VTTAssets Iconizer v1.0.4
- VTTAssets Tokenizer v1.0.15
We will go through:
- Foundry VTT installation, including opening the Windows Firewall,
- Explaning the term "User Data Path" and what it is used for
- Introduce the Foundry Homepage
- Introduce the Community Wiki
- Install a Game System
- Install Modules and configure them
- Explain why a module providing shared compendiums is a worth thinking about
- VTTAssets related: Install and configure vtta-iconizer, vtta-dndbeyond and vtta-tokenizer
