Astra - Monthly Update (March 2024)
🕑 Added 2024-03-23 22:22:44 +0000 UTCHello Patrons,
Hope everyone is having an amazing Saturday/Sunday. :^)
I'm here with the March monthly update with some spicy things to cover so let's get started!!
WRITING
>> CAUTION: SUPER ULTRA OMEGA INSANE SPOILERS IN SCENE TITLES<<
Writing has been progressing at a very fast pace! We were thinking that maybe a scene or two extra would be completed however the Celeste scene by itself is 6500+ word count. O_O
We've pretty much mapped out the remaining scenes and it is just about getting the script done. All that is projected to be wrapped up for April! Normally we'd have showcased one, possibly two, builds by now however as per our last update, we decided this episode made the most sense to release all at once.
Speaking of episode and how long the Celeste scene was, this is no longer a 'mini' episode and is pretty much looking to be the same word count as a regular episode lol. On one hand, it does mean we are working a bit harder to stay on schedule, on the other hand, it means a lot more juicy content for the perfect conclusion!
CHARACTER ART
The second batch of CG enhancements is completed! You can check it out here:

BACKGROUND ART
With episode 7 all planned out, we are working through the unique backgrounds for these scenes! First is one of the family homes you will encounter. We wanted it to have a nice, cozy vibe to it and I think our artist did a great job getting that feel! We'll have more BGs to share in the upcoming weeks.
ANIMATION
No updates on animation though we are still currently thinking about overhauling the UI. (same as last update)
PROGRAMMING
No big updates on the programming side just yet. We imagine it will get really busy really soon as episode 7 wraps up to start with the read only version and then the art version. Stay tuned for these!
AUDIO
Audio be quiet for now as well. In terms of outstanding work, we still have the Ending track planned. The reason we are waiting on that is because depending on the voice cast we get for the game, it might be fun if they are the ones who sing the Ending. Nothing confirmed, just some ideas! (same as last update)
VOICE
We are going to introduce this new category!!!!! With the writing pretty much at its final stages, we'll be starting the large but fun adventure of figuring out voice over for the game. I would imagine we'll have audition posts coming up by late next month! I know a lot of you are waiting for voice to try out Astral Ascension and we are finally getting to the Endgame.
March has been another rewarding and productive month! Based on estimates, we should be all done with the writing by next month and then begins voice over and polish. Astral Ascension is literally on the horizon!!!!!!!!!
As always, please feel free to share your thoughts below. Thanks again for your support! :^)

This is Episode 7. The final one. But to be honest one the full game is released it won't feel 'episodic' really. The Episodes are really to help them design the story, but once it's done you'll just have a coherent, branching story from start to end!

How many episodes in is this?
