Hello Patrons,
Hope everyone is doing fantastic!! Firstly, sorry about the delay and thank you for your patience regarding this months update. My computer abruptly died a couple days before and I've been dealing with the RMA process on the damaged component (as luck would have it, it was my motherboard so literally the most important piece lol). One silver lining is the project was unaffected as all our work makes use of cloud sharing and storage so it's great to know that we are quite robust in case anything does (did?) happen!
Anyways, without further delay, let's get started with this month's update. :^)
WRITING
>> CAUTION: SUPER ULTRA OMEGA INSANE SPOILERS IN SCENE TITLES<<
Act 3 is basically done! We should have a read-only version out by extremely early July and the art version by mid July. The three remaining scenes are waiting for content review so the writers have already begun work on episode 6 - Act 1. We are in the final episode now!!!!!
CHARACTER ART
On the character art side, we wrapped up all the rest of the NPC portraits! Please keep your eyes out for the third and final post of portraits to be shared in the upcoming days.
BACKGROUND ART
On the background side, we are rounding out the bridge BG with a look at a nebula storm since it comes up a few times in the game and plays a fairly impactful role! Apart from that, we are just rounding out a few other BGs in spots where there was a lot of narration or a BG that didn't fit. In example, when you are driving to places, we now have a car interior to better visually showcase this!
ANIMATION
The animations for the character introductions in the Opening are now fully done! You can check all 5 of them out here:

PROGRAMMING
Programming was busy with a bunch of the bugs that were reported as well as getting the skeleton of Act 3's read only into the build! It will be a very busy couple weeks for programming to get all of Act 3 completed for the art version.
AUDIO
All the SFX has been added retroactively for episode one through five! You'll be able to hear some of those cues on playthroughs now and hopefully it will be some nice audio stimuli until voices are added!
That's the update for now! We are in the final stretch of Astra and it is quite exciting times already! When this final episode is completed, all that will be left is voices, polish, and then release!!
As always, please feel free to share your thoughts below! Thank you for your continued support.
Cheers,
