I have an honest question: is there any plans for those of us who aren't interested in the "popular" choice with name recognition poll options to get models and less popular themes done by you and in your style? Let's talk the reality of poll systems: the raw numbers of your polls were 26 vs. 81. That means that 26 people are getting what they voted for (and let's be honest, some just pick what style they've seen before and recognize and don't really care what they get) it also means 81 that voted otherwise get nothing. And if the idea is that the popular choice is the best because if it wins then that means it's the one people like most, right? I read it as the popular choice is what the 81 picked: anything but the winner. See what I mean? I know a lot of creators use this poll system but it doesn't work the way they think it does. More people DIDN'T pick the winner than did. The distribution is all out of whack because of so many options and ringers for options. It's always going to be the same five or so basic settings because of RPGs history of using dungeons, castle, underdark, etc. Honestly, it brings nothing new to table, right? It's like a child yelling out the one character they know over and over again because they don't realize there I more than one great movie out there. It's a parents job to show them the world regardless of what they want which is usually the exact same thing over and over and over and over...you get my point. I hope that puts things into perspective for you. It's a bad system as pure democracys usually are (meaning majority rules no matter what) and that's why no governments are pure democracys. The results are much less than the democratic ideal it was meant to represent. I hope this is making some sense. An example is you could put Drizzt as an option next month and I promise you it would win because that is how things work when done this way and not everyone is acting either in good faith or with any actual preference. You can tell me to fuck off or that I'm crazy but I'll put it in a straightforward question: If we go 4, 5, even 6 months or more without a poll result (which dictate almost the entirety of your releases) that offers a setting or setup that I can use, should I or anyone like me continue to give you money as a subscriber when it would be cheaper to not subscribe and just buy a release on the store when one comes out? A wordy question, I'm sorry. I just wanted to cover everything at once. Look man, I do diorwmas and collect STLs as part of a private group of collectors that archive stereo lithography pieces for preservation and act as a respiratory for some artists. I'm not just talking out my ass here. Like I said, you can do completely ignore me, that's your right. But I say this because your talent is amazing and I want to expect more from you. This is a hobby to some and then there are these of us that see the things you make we pieces of art that are part of your body of work or collection. It my job, as a legitimate supporter, to push you to be the best you can't be and take every click or the mouse and stroke of the pen on the tablet seriously because, as private collectors, we do and we want you work to be not only preserved but seen by as many people as possible but there is only one thing worse than making something that there are already 1000 other examples of and that is being boring. So we (I'm not the only one here) will ride it out and see what happens but it's important that we are honest with you and that you are honest with us about what we can expect in exchange for support to do this whole thing. If you want to talk privately, let me know and I can contact your email and we can go from there. Regardless, thanks for listening and hopefully considering what I've said here but most of all, thank you for your amazing work. It truly is beautiful and stands above most in the field. I want to be excited about places you can take people and what you can show them but this just ain't it boss. Humbly, a huge fan of your work.
