I think they've implemented an automatic flagging system. Prior to now I suspect they were tagging posts based on user reporting, which wasn't catching a lot because if you were subscribed to a blog labeled as NSFW and you got NSFW you were getting what you paid for, but now it's just auto-hiding anything with a few dirty words in it. It's a pain.

Patreon seem to have suddenly gone on an anti-nsfw kick. A few artists I know of have had posts purged.
