Input filtering bulk capacitance
20x 100uF Tant SMD
9x 270uF TH poly
Vcore
Controller: UP9512 8 phase
MOSFETs: 24x SiC653A 50A PS+OCP OTP HSSCP (3 per phase)
1V 500KHz 150nH (SiC632 used for calculations)
300A ~24W
400A ~36W
500A ~48W
600A ~63W
800A ~113W
Vcore VRM bulk capacitance:
48x 470uF // that's A LOOOOT of SMD polymers
Vcore core bulk capacitance:
4x 560uF SMD poly // usually you only 220-470uF here
2x 10x MLCC
Vmem
Controller: UP9512 4 phase
MOSFETs: 4x SiC653A 50A PS+OCP OTP HSSCP (1 per phase)
Vmem bulk capacitance:
10x 330uF SMD poly // standard for 4090s
Overall: Kind of a brute force approach to an RTX 4090 PCB. I kinda like it. Probably not too far of the HOF, SuprimX, Strix and FE in voltage regulation. The power stages having HSSCP(Hi Side Short Circuit Protection) is a nice extra on such an expensive card.
