Steven

Thanks for the chapter

Heh, Spencer must be frothing at the mouth, considering Ran is doing fine w/o him and, in fact, has been given 2 super rare pokemon by Gym Leaders recently. The newest one is even a fighting type, a counter to Spencer's own steel types. if they follow the same spacing, my guess is they will finally cross paths somewhere around Olivine, since that would be both of their 5th badges. It makes me wonder about how Ran will get past all of Jasmine's steel types, but I guess kicking around Spencer some would give him for xp fighting them.

The Dave

I don't quite agree with them having more personality, but Skorupi and Croagunk are definitely more noticeably present / extraverted compared to quiet Caesar, loner Golbat and shy Aria, yeah.

The Dave

He will!

- Error has been fixed, thanks - Omake I completely lost track of, my bad, will see about getting on that this weekend. - As far as I can tell, there's two mentions of the contents of the book on the Great Marsh which are relevant, one mentions the book promising a full list of the native pokémons capabilities, the other mentions specifically that Ekans and Arbok tend to pick up Dig naturally than through a TM in the Great Marsh. Combined I can see how that could be read as all pokémon getting a full moveset listed out in the book, but that is not how that was meant. Full capabilities was more in reference to typing and raw physical characteristics, than a complete list of all possible moves. The Arbok Dig callout was intended an isolated example due to being especially noteworthy. Hope that clarifies things a bit. The book doesn't otherwise have a list of moves per pokémon.

FrozenPixel

Sure seems like Spencer is going for a steel specialty, the "perfect" counter to our boy. tftc!

TempestK

Little bit of an error where Skorupi is glaring at Skorupi ove Ran's shoulder. Also, @The Dave, question for you. You'd mentioned taking that omake I'd made, and changing it to make it Canon a while back. Did you change your mind? Edit: oh yeah, why isn't Ran using his reference book regarding the Great Swamp since didn't that have overviews of the moves the mon could learn?

MaliMi

Btw, I hope that Ran leaves his profile message empty.

MaliMi

Ran should try to visit the pharmacy with Croagunk. Might make another quick buck.

Heraclitus

It's probably easy to assume the worst on Spencer's little profile quote, but it could easy have been meant as an innocent statement on his growth. Having matured from his struggles. Or he could still be an egotistical jerk who is snubbing his nose at Ran. Who knows with that guy? There must be something in the water in Sinnoh. Both Skorupi and Croagunk have so much more personality than Ran's Johto trio. Not that I dislike them, but they're definitely more lowkey.

Mrsean22

Poison jab sounds about right for our frog. All his pokemon seem to be getting along. And looks like Spencer might actually of tried to insult Ran here if the last visit on his profile is any indication.

The Dave

Bit of a shorter one, but a necessary introduction, I figure. Not to mention a bit of an informal update on what *that guy* has been up to. As for Croagunk's learnset, that'll be adressed down the line, but Ran isn't even considering the obvious solution yet, at this point. Finally, a Doro match in the near future! That should be good fun, right?
