Hi Everyone,
There are the questions for this week, timestamped:
Question 1: Graeme heard that I don't know what key I'm in sometimes! Is this true? Is it ok?
Question 2: Bill asked about "lead-ins" and how to craft ways to play a lead line/lead-in between chords. I explained that these kinds of guitar parts are essentially playing a bass line on your way to another chord.
This is essentially a combination of learning about Melody Making and learning about how to write a bass line.
Question 3: Matthew is having a hard time coming up with chord progressions and strumming patterns that sound good/exciting/interesting
Question 4: Erin is having trouble figuring out which Pentatonic Shape to play
Question 5: Ray asked for tips on how to improve chord changes

Scott, that was a great answer. It didn't occur to me to check out your bass series. Your answer made a lot of sense, and I think I'm going to get a lot out of this approach. I am in a band, and we do swap out roles on occasion. I'm going to check out your bass lessons and embrace taking the bass more often during our jams as well :)

And how would you prepare for your first open mic gig?
