2017 will be a year of videos + time-lapses. Having gotten a handle on making time-lapse videos, I now want to practice the art of story telling through short documentary style videos. This is not one of them though!
I shot this short video of the season's first snowfall in #Manali.
The snowfall was a boon to the rain starved villages around Manali. But it was also an inconvenience to travellers and tourists. The snowfall bought traffic to a halt with cars and buses sliding off the road. The boarding point of my bus was changed to a village some 25km away from Manali. I had to walk 5 hours and rode in a car for a further 2 hours inorder to catch my bus. It was quite an adventure. A lot of people, less prepared than me, suffered.
