Oh, you're right. You can tell the main volume of the house is on the right-hand side, thanks to its ridiculous roof. The wing is hiding the archway.

The lack of the gate is because the actual house is an L-shape, with the archway leading to the guest house. The difference in color is due to some rather exaggerated color correction on the front.
