As the afternoon sun began to soften over the Greyrat family home, Roxy Migurdia continued teaching Rudeus magic without a hint of fatigue. It was a private lesson focused on spells he hadn’t yet mastered. She had been instructing him from morning till evening, patiently explaining every gesture and incantation in meticulous detail.
Now that Rudeus was 14 or 15, he couldn’t help inviting Roxy to join the family for dinner so she could finally relax. She smiled warmly and accepted. After the meal and a bath, Roxy headed to her guest room to prepare for bed, but she forgot to lock the door.
At that moment, Rudeus lingered nearby, his eyes filled with a certain intent. He saw an opportunity he couldn’t let slip by—the door left ajar, Roxy completely unaware.
She sat down in a chair with her favorite spellbook, reading intently, oblivious to anything around her.
Rudeus crept inside, clear tape and rope ready in his pocket. He approached in near silence, each step barely making a sound.
Roxy remained absorbed in her book, never suspecting the danger closing in.
Before she could react, Rudeus pressed a cloth over her mouth. She struggled briefly, but the boy’s strength and speed overwhelmed her, and within seconds, she went limp.
The room fell into a heavy silence, broken only by Rudeus’s breathing and the stillness of the night that enveloped everything.
Roxy, usually so strong and sharp-minded, was now bound and motionless, her body entirely under someone else’s control.
