Small The Cat

Acting is hard, especially when you're the size of a house! This was an issue facing Big The Cat, the hefty purple critter from the Sonic games. Big was known for his kind and carefree attitude, along with his overweight body. The cat's body was caked with rolls of flab and a large protruding stomach. This often made him the source of ridicule from every Sonic character!
Despite his seemingly kind heart, he hated all the fat jokes at his expense. He was hoping his part in Sonic 3 would be devoid of such jabs, and that it would show him in a better light. Of course, he didn't read the script until after signing up! He decided to read it in a nearby Hooters upon receiving it and quickly realized that they had turned his character into a joke. The script was littered with fat jokes and gags at the poor cat's expense!
He sighed as he looked over the script, not noticing the waitress approaching him. "Hey, tubby!" Shouted the waitress as she stood before Big. The fat cat looked up and saw an anthropomorphic simian approaching him. She had sizable boobs and wide hips that swayed side-from-side as she approached.
Big looked up from the script, "Excuse me?"
"What's the matter, too much fat in your ears? Gonna order a salad, fatty?" Asked Jelly with a mocking wink.
Big grumbled, "It's not nice to make fun of someone's weight!"
She laughed as she poked the cat's big, bulging stomach with her pen, "Oh, come on! It's just a few jabs at your flabby expense. It's not like your part in the next Sonic movie won't be filled to the brim with them,"
Big sighed and relented, "Fair point, I'll have a salad..."
The monkey smirked and winked, "Sounds good, big guy!"
Big normally didn't take the fat jokes to heart, but this time they had gone too far! Sure, he was a hefty kitty, but that didn't make him any less of a person! He needed to teach the monkey waitress a lesson, and he had something stashed away in his big brown belt that would let him do just that.
After eating, Big went to go pay for his meal. Jelly was waiting by a black table near the cast register, "Alright so, 7.50 for the salad and 2.50 for the drink... That'll be 10 dollars please!"
Big handed her a 10 and she slid it into the register. She gigged as she stared him right in the eyes, "What? No tip, fatty?"
The giant purple cat stared at Jelly, right before reaching into his bely, "I have a tip for you alright, and it's called..."
Big then pulled out a big shiny green Chaos Emerald from his belt and held it in front of Jelly's silly monkey face, "CHAOS WEIGHT CONTROL!"
As soon as Big shouted this, a bright green light blanketed both him and the monkey waitress standing before him. This light quickly made changes to the pair, with Big's weight quickly decreasing. His fat cat body became incredibly skinny, almost to an absurd degree. His belt fell to the ground, due to his now thin waist no longer being able to support it. With his folds of fat and gargantuan girth now gone, Big The Cat was no more! The only one who stood there now was "Small The Cat"!
Jelly's body did the opposite and became much fatter! Her body swelled up to an enormous degree as folds of fat soon covered ever inch of her. Her fingers became puffy and sausage-like, like a person who's hands had been stung by multiple bees. Her head and neck grew fatter as well, her cheeks becoming puffier as she grew multiple chins. Her belly also grew, becoming flabby and misshapen like the rest of her form. Her Hooters outfit ripped to shreds due to her body's growth, leaving her with only the tattered remains of her shirt stretched across her back.
Once the light had cleared, Jelly looked down at her incredibly fat body with dismay, "What the heck did you do to me?!"
Small snickered, "I just gave you a taste of your own medicine, 'Jelly Belly'!"
Jelly grumbled as she gripped her fat belly with both hands and glanced over her fattened form. She couldn't believe how girthy she had become! Every last inch of her was covered in fat, like a walrus after eating pounds upon pounds of fish. Not only that, but she was now completely naked! However, nobody in the restaurant seemed to notice or care about the fat monkey waitress standing there in the buff.
"What's going on? Why does nobody care that I'm nude?"
Small giggled, "Well, everybody views you as 'Big' now!"
As soon as Small said that, Froggy hopped onto Jelly's shoulder. Despite being visibly confused, the frog didn't seem to mind too much that his "male cat friend" was now seemingly a female monkey. Jelly growled, "Huh, what sense does that make?!"
"Well, I was the BIGGEST thing around, right? That's why they called me 'Big'! However, anyone who inherits that weight and is the biggest one around will thus be viewed as me, even if they are a different species or gender,"
Jelly grumbled and flabby crossed her arms, "No fair, I don't want people to think I'm you!"
Small snickered and slammed the script on the table in front of Jelly, "Too bad, now everyone's going to think you're me until you find a way to get rid of all that weight! Hope ya enjoy the fat jokes," Small then walked off, laughing maniacally to himself as he did so. Jelly was left fat and naked in the middle of the restaurant as people started to approach her. The manager smiled and held out a blank page to Jelly, "You're Big, right? I'd like to get your autograph!"
Jelly sighed and pointed at her big belly, "Boss, it's me, Jelly! Just because I'm the fattest thing around now doesn't mean I'm Big!"
He shook his head, "But you have Froggy on your shoulder! And you have that trademark girth Big is known for, so you're clearly not my waitress Jelly! I wonder where she ran off to..."
Jelly sighed and pulled a pen off a nearby table and started autographing the piece of paper, "Who should I make it out to?"
"Make it out to your biggest fat- I mean, your fattest fan- I mean, your biggest fan!"
"Well, guess this is my life now!" Jelly said as she smacked her forehead and finished signing her former boss's autograph. After that, she left the building and went back to her place. She went to sleep, only to receive a call the next day: It was the director of Sonic 3 wanting her to show up for shooting later that week! Any attempt to convince him that she wasn't Big fell on deaf ears, forcing Jelly to relent and go to the film shoot a few days later.
She arrived there on time and filmed her scenes with Sonic and friends. They all thought she was Big, despite clearly being a monkey and a female. They just thought she transitioned and were extremely supportive of it, despite the fact that she wasn't Big at all! In fact, Sonic himself was the most supportive. After the shoot, Sonic approached Jelly and gave her the thumbs up, "Congrats on the transition, Big!"
Jelly gave an awkward smile as she scratched at her many chins, "Uh... Thanks, I guess!"
Sonic started to get bashful himself, "Sorry, didn't mean to offend you, Big!"
Jelly began to sob slightly, "It's fine, it's just I'm not... I'm not actually Big,"
Sonic nodded, "I get it! What name do you go by now?"
Jelly wiped her tears away and giggled at the hedgehog. It was clear he didn't get it and no amount of explaining would change things, so she went with the flow. She gave him an earnest smile, "Call me 'Jelly'!"
Sonic held out his hand for a handshake, "Sounds good to me, 'Jelly'! Pleasure working with you!"
Jelly grabbed Sonic's hand and gave it a firm shake, "Pleasure to work with you too!"
And so, Jelly continued the shoot and tried to work off her humungous weight in the background. Unfortunately, the Chaos Emerald had stuck Big's fat to the monkey so good that no amount of exercise could un-fat-ify the monkey. She didn't mind though, as she found new friends in the Sonic cast and was even invited to appear in future projects! Small disappeared with his new thin feline figure, to parts unknown. Some believe he became a bandit, others think he regained the weight, added an extra "s" to the end of his name, and went on to reappear in the Sonic Comics. Regardless, our story is at an end! The moral here is to never fat-shame others... Unless you're cool with taking on their weight class and identity as punishment!
