🕑 Added 2025-08-12 19:05:22 +0000 UTCSo, Magnum Opus v8 is pretty much ready. Just a few small things left to do (edit the intro pop-up, throw a few things on Nexus, stuff like that). This might be the last poll for it, for now.
SS2 has a lot of City Plans. Opus has roughly 3 plans per settlement, in most cases (about 100 city plans overall). Kinggath recently compiled a list of 160 of them into a Mega Pack.
This sounds nice. Some of them are nice! I've been building a few and throwing screenshots into Discord. But there's some downsides. Let's do a Pros and Cons list, shall we?
Pros:
So many city plans!
So many choices for city plans!
An ungodly amount of city plans!
Cons:
Can bog down script data.
Many plans "require" other addons (this doesn't mean too much - if a plan requires a missing mod, that just means the selected building from the plan is replaced by a different variant/equivalent).
Doubles up a lot of the city plans we already use - and to be blunt, I don't really feel like going through one by one to delete the doubles. I could, and it's not hard, but it's rather tedious and time-consuming, primarily because there's no external list of all the plans included in the Mega Pack.
So, what do you think? Mega Pack?

It’s easy to add additional city plans if we individually want them. More is more, but I experience most of these as different arrangements of the same basic shack building blocks - this is just an observation, not a complaint. Accordingly I’ve been happy with the core 2 or 3 plans.

I'm quite happy with the current pack I just wish there were a horror version or a good non survival horror list
