Horses would've been a refreshing take and make sense is so many more settings than just boring boars again so I'll go for option B wargs I guess.

boars are boring - sorry but had my fill of them from gw 20 or so years back. Give me porcs riding elk, giant roosters (blame malifaux) or peacocks, or dinosaurs, or giant snails, maybe with flail like appendages, something with improbably long legs like you'd find gelflings riding around on in dark crystal. Alpaca, capybaras, long haired highland cattle. Bears or giraffes because giraffes are completely awesome. Mutant land squid.
