Weekly Post | Looking Good
🕑 Added 2023-09-11 10:00:06 +0000 UTCHey there dear patrons,
Welcome to yet another edition of the Weekly Post! We're sorry for missing the date by a few dates, we just got held up with something, and it turns out the weekend really isn't a suitable time to write blog posts! Nevertheless, we have a bunch of exciting stuff to tell you as our week was surprisingly productive.
Let's get started right away!
Gavril T-Series Expansion Pack
First up on the list is the Gavril T-Series Expansion Pack. We have continued working on this project now as we've released the racing add-on for it last week. A thing we've felt that was missing for the longest time were little windows in the forward lower corners of the doors... These windows are probably called blind-spot windows, at least, that's what we think.
Nevertheless, we've added them to the Gavril T-Series as part of the Phase-IV series of production-era parts before we even finished the interior... Speaking of which, the interior still isn't done, but it's certainly getting there! When done, we'll mirror it as well so there is an RHD version. An Aussie spec T-Series is of course going to be included with the second part of the current update series (dang these updates are taking long).
General-Purpose Trailer Pack
Ah yes, the project that should be but isn't. A project aimed at enhancing all the currently available semi-trailer types in the simulator, the General-Purpose Trailer Pack will be a paid project with a free demo version available to enhance your trucking desires.
During the week, we've worked on the 3-axle bogie which will be part of the GTG Commons Mod (but can't be accessed in-game on the vanilla trailers) and made some progress on it, however, it's still not ready to haul loads yet.
Heavy-Haul Trailer Pack
Also a name which you probably haven't heard of before, or heard very little of, is the Heavy-Haul Trailer Pack. This project will also be paid and will add a full-fledged lowboy to the game, based primarily on the Fontaine Magnitude series of Lowboy trailers.
Nevertheless, this project saw some decent progress as well as we have deviated from our original design to redesign it, and as such work is still underway at this redesign.
Parts of this project that are in-game are likely to be redesigned as well.
Secret little thing
We've also started slow work on a project of which we haven't spoken off in a long time. We won't dive too deep into it, but this project gives us an opportunity to up our quality level a notch, particularly with the making of glass textures and lights.
Final Note
Despite our productive week, we can't show you anything that we haven't already published. Nevertheless, we might have something to show with the next edition of the weekly post if development goes well enough.
That's it for this week! We hope you enjoyed this week's edition!
Yours sincerely,
- the GTG Mods Team
