Chapter 69 - Fleeing
🕑 Added 2025-07-01 18:05:58 +0000 UTCSlivers of sunlight slipped through the curtains of a luxurious bedroom, and Puss's whiskers couldn't help but twitch.
Opening his eyes and blinking to see better after waking up, Puss shook his head and settled more comfortably on his 'pillow'—which was, in fact, the soft, white, ample hill of a woman's chest—and sighed in contentment.
After lazing about a bit longer, Puss carefully rose from the woman beneath him and stood atop the bed.
Judging by the size of her bust, it was obvious this woman was not Elizabeth—but that didn't mean Elizabeth wasn't there. She was.
Lying nude, a peaceful expression on her face, Elizabeth was resting beside three other naked women, who seemed equally satisfied and in deep sleep.
Pride swelled in Puss's chest.
These women were actually Elizabeth's maids.
Since Elizabeth had been acting quite strangely lately—refusing their help at night, which was unlike her, and with the maids noticing faint, strange smells lingering in the room, along with other small details—they had started to grow suspicious.
Elizabeth caught wind of their doubts, and a strange idea popped into her mind. She needed help handling Puss in bed, and also needed accomplices to reduce suspicion.
So, she set a trap, and after a few twists and turns, managed to convince the three maids—who were close to her and the ones who had grown suspicious—to willingly end up in bed with them.
And who was Puss to refuse? So in just one month, Puss had taken the virginity of four women. In his past life, he hadn't taken even one—let alone four.
Elizabeth also seemed to awaken something in herself after seeing him 'destroy' her friends/maids in bed, and well… she might've become a bit perverted—or maybe she had always been and only now awakened to it.
But all good things must come to an end, and it was time for Puss to set out on a new journey.
And even though he had taken their virginities and felt somewhat responsible, he still wouldn't stop his journey, nor would he take them along on his dangerous adventures.
Gently waking them, the beautiful women soon opened their eyes and sat up, their faces blushing—still not used, even after almost a month, to the craziness they shared together in bed.
Puss watched them with pleasure as he began to dress, admiring their curves, but then his expression grew serious as he remembered his journey.
"Elizabeth, Anna, Agnes, Beatrice, today is the day I leave," he said with a serious, slightly helpless tone.
The girls, who were getting dressed, immediately froze at his words.
Anna, the slightly shorter one with brown hair, realizing the truth, began to quietly cry.
Agnes and Beatrice were stronger, but still lowered their heads in sorrow.
Elizabeth felt heavy-hearted too.
"... can't you stay a little longer?" she asked, furrowing her brows, though sadness was also present in her eyes.
"I have to continue my journey. I've delayed too long already."
Puss spoke with a deep and heavy voice as he walked across the bed, approached Anna, and gently pulled her delicate hand to sit down, then climbed onto her lap and wiped away her tears, standing on his tiptoes.
"We knew this day would come... I just didn't think it would be so soon," Elizabeth lamented with a resigned sigh.
She was the one who spoke the most—despite the intimacy they'd shared, the maids still carried the mindset of servants, leaving initiative to Elizabeth, their lady.
Puss felt his heart tighten a little. To say he only had desire and no feelings for the girls he'd deflowered and spent a month with would be a lie.
He hesitated for a second, before his gaze sharpened and he made a decision he hadn't expected to make before.
"Girls… if you want to wait for me, I will give you an official status as my women. But if you choose that path, it may take several years."
He spoke and jumped over to his things, pulling out three small pouches of coins and tossing one to each of the maids.
"This money is for you to have more voice in your own lives and make your decision freely—whether you choose to wait for me, or prefer to forget and build a new life for yourselves."
He spoke with sincerity, while the girls held the heavy pouches of gold in stunned silence.
With that gold, forget being maids—they could hire maids of their own and live a good life they never thought they could have.
"I recommend you deposit the gold at the GoldenClaw Bank. That way your money will be safer, and you can withdraw smaller coins for everyday use."
Puss explained seriously while the girls remained mesmerized by the shining gold illuminating their faces. It wasn't that they'd never seen gold before—but now, this gold wasn't from some noble they had to polish. It was their own, given to them by the man who had taken them.
But soon they tore their eyes away from the gold, looking with even more sadness at Puss, who was about to leave.
A man so good—not only did he satisfy them in bed, but he made them feel safe—and even now, as he departed, he did not leave them abandoned. How could they not feel heartbroken to lose such a man?
They were resolved to wait for him. For such a man, becoming his concubine was more than an honor for mere maids like them.
"Girls, now please finish getting dressed. I want to speak with Elizabeth alone," he requested, and before they left, they kissed and hugged him tightly, with tears that couldn't help but fall.
Puss watched them go, and once the doors closed, he sighed.
Elizabeth sat on the bed with a somewhat lost expression.
"You'll give me a status too if I wait for you?" she asked suddenly, startling him.
"You would wait for me? I don't know how many years it might take," Puss said with a conflicted look.
To say he didn’t feel anything for Elizabeth would be a lie—but he wasn’t sure he believed she would actually wait for him. From what he remembered of the films, even while engaged to Will, she kissed Jack, kissed Norrington, and then tried to kiss Jack again—even after she was married—before being stopped by Jack himself.
Elizabeth was a free-spirited woman and simply did what she felt like doing. To put it plainly, she was reckless.
Puss knew he was being hypocritical—he would have more than one woman and do far more than kiss—but he didn't care one bit. If any woman wanted to be with him, they had to accept that side of him and respect it; after all, he forced no one to stay with him.
Considering all this, he looked at her with uncertainty.
"What is that look?" Elizabeth, seeing him stare at her like that, for some reason felt deeply irritated.
"Elizabeth, you're beautiful, and saying I feel nothing for you would be a lie. Making you my wife wouldn't be a problem... if I didn't know you better," Puss said, making her open her mouth and look at him, shocked and furious.
"What do you mean by that?" she asked, gritting her teeth.
"It's simple. You're too free-spirited. If one day you're in a situation and feel like kissing another man, you won't even think twice—you'll just do whatever you want. Maybe even go further," Puss said bluntly, puffing out his chest and saying exactly what he thought.
Elizabeth was now completely furious.
"Are you calling me a tramp?!" She had to hold herself back from roaring loud enough to shake the whole mansion—but even so, her voice was anything but quiet.
"Not a tramp... you won't kiss just anyone. But if you have a good impression and the mood is right, you're reckless enough to ignore other things—like being my wife. Even though I have other women in my life, they'll all be aware of that, and I won't hide it. If they accept, it's their decision—they know what they're getting into. And in the same way, if I accept you, I have to be prepared to be cheated on. That's why I don't want to accept you."
Puss had no filter at that moment.
He knew she could wait ten years for someone she loved—just like she had done with Will—but he also knew what she was capable of. Since their personalities weren't compatible, there was no reason to force anything. There were plenty of fish in the sea—for both of them.
But this time, Elizabeth was completely furious. She grabbed a vase and hurled it at Puss in rage.
"GET OUT!!" she screamed furiously.
"Meow!!" Puss yelped, jumping to the side and dodging the vase.
But Elizabeth didn't stop. Another vase came flying right after.
"Stop! Stop! You're going to wake everyone!" Puss dove onto the mattress as the vase flew overhead, ruffling his fur.
But she didn't seem to be listening. She grabbed a candelabrum—still lit—and threw it.
"Señorita! Are you insane?!" Puss's eyes widened as he jumped off the mattress, which immediately started to catch fire.
He didn't have time to think before combs, hairpins, and even drawers started flying.
Puss's eyes went wide as he rushed to gather his things. With boots, hat, cape, belt, and sword in his arms, he ran like his life depended on it.
Elizabeth also grabbed a pile of things as the bed caught fire and ran after Puss, hurling objects at him.
"You flea-ridden cat! Don't run if you've got the guts!" she roared, chasing him.
