more about new patreon fees + reminder

C:Secondly, more thoughts about the unfair fees that are likely to be implemented on December 18. I don't have my hopes up regarding Patreon staff's friendliness at this point. They're not artist-oriented as they claim. They're butts. Don't think they're gonna listen and cooperate.
Let's be honest, this platform has never been perfect, but there wasn't any worthy alternative (still isn't?). Now they're going too far. If the new fees kick in, $1~5 patrons will be paying 30% more for EACH creator they support. Both creators and patrons are outraged by this. I've personally already lost a few patrons because of this news, even though the change still hasn't kicked in.
10 days from now on. If they don't revert this change, I'm out. I'll be manually deleting each pledge, and making a new post reminding why's that. Probably I'll delete reward tiers too, making this place a tip jar with no guaranteed reward, until I find a better alternative. You'll be free to re-pledge, but keep in mind that now you'll also be supporting Patreon staff's greedy butts and their "brilliant" ideas.
It's not The End yet, as the scandal is pretty loud and massive. We could actually make an impact. But I'm sharing my thoughts and plans with you in case if we don't succeed.

Yeah, I'm not gonna support their greedy bums too. Glad that we're together on this one. And thank you for the support btw. ;w; If/when I find a better alternative, I'll definitely post about it on all my sites.

Kudos for you for doing this. I can't believe this is happening right after I finally started supporting artists on Patreon. I also do not wish to support the greed of a company that I trusted, so I'll be removing all my pledges to artists for now, I'm so sorry to inform that. Please let me know if you find alternatives! I already heard many people are trying to set up a similar support system on Ko-fi or Drip. Hopefully another alternative website will pop up soon.

Apparently they care about the more popular artists, those who generate more for themselves and for Patreon as well. While smaller artists would suffer from this. An indirect quote from Patreon officials: "we don't care much about less known creators". But thank you so much for willing to stick with me. ;w; I'm fairly lost right now, will have to wait until 18th and see what can be done next.

Fingers crossed they'll go back on their decision since it's pretty clear everyone is unhappy about it... Otherwise if you're moving somewhere else I'll gladly follow! I saw you mention some french-y site, if you maybe need help with language if that's what worried you I'd gladly help too. 😫
