Update - Shuji holds Emi from behind
🕑 Added 2019-06-30 22:00:02 +0000 UTCtl;dr - PAT v0.7 is done and will release tomorrow; the last month felt a little shaky for me for a while, but I think it's more or less back on track; and I'm about to go on holiday!
This week's image
I had trouble deciding on which image to go with this week, but this one should work okay for now; this is one, relatively minor image from the new upcoming update. I think when you come to this particular bit you might not even really notice it that much, because the scene it's in has a lot more going on. ;)
Release 0.7, titled "Emi in Focus", is complete
This release will be out tomorrow and features the full Emi story up to her one-on-one sex scene, and a little bit of content after that, too! If the first day release was the first chapter of the story, then this is the second now complete. I hope you're looking forward to it - I think it's turned out well! And I think you'll be surprised to see where the story goes with Emi - I've been holding off on spoiling some big moments. ;)
I finished the release ahead of schedule (I planned to finish it early anyway, but I got in a few days earlier than planned) so I took the extra time to add in a couple of fun features that I intended to put in later; I'll talk about those in another update soon.
The last month
I was pretty frustrated earlier in the month with the progress of the Patreon campaign, but I feel like that's rather more under control now. Since I started this whole thing there's come to be kind of a flood of adult games put out and it's hard to get noticed in the ways I used to, but I think the main problem in the last couple of months is just that I haven't had another public update to put out. I'll be able to change that soon, though. I also found that Reddit can be an effective place to post, too - hello and welcome again to new patrons who found me on Reddit!
I also appreciate the votes on the recent poll, as they helped me realise that my earlier instincts had been correct about how to develop the game, and that I'm simply in a spot now when development hasn't really allowed me to put out content quickly, and that's probably the main thing that's been holding me back recently.
After these last few weeks, though, in which I was able to put together what feels like a month worth of content in, basically, about two weeks, I think I'm genuinely past the hump (which involved building the core gameplay) and really in that position that I've been talking about for a while, where I can now quickly add a lot more content to the game.
I'm going on holiday!
Tomorrow I fly out on a two week trip! I will still try and stay in touch with you guys in that time, but I'm going to be a little less reliable on that because I'll be a bit pre-occupied. :)
I hope to get a little writing done in the time, but I don't have any special expectations on what that might be. Basically, whatever I feel like doing is what I'm doing for a couple of weeks. I don't normally really get much time off; I tend to get a half day on Saturdays, but even that's usually busy, so I really appreciate the occasional holiday. When I get back I intend to really start taking a full day off on Saturdays, too.
I've scheduled a bunch of posts for this place when I'm gone, so you'll still be getting some stuff anyway, although I'm sure you don't begrudge me a little time off.
Looking forward to the next update? Think I could have made a better image choice? Want me to bring you back a souvenir? Let me know in the comments!
