Update - Masami invites you in
🕑 Added 2018-07-22 22:01:00 +0000 UTC tl;dr - After the PAL release I've been working on PAT development, as well as PAL's next update. This week's image
Masami is happy to see you come to her room tonight! This image is for next month's PAL update, which will include a new Masami/Fumi ending. I don't know if I've got a lot to say about this one, except that I really do like this new fitting I've been able to do on her dressing gown. Oh, and the lighting in her bedroom has always been kind of poor and I think it's still not perfect here, but I did manage to improve it quite a bit. I want the room to be dimly lit, but the central figures still need to be clear.
PAT work this week
Obviously in the start of the week I released PAL v1.12.0, which largely consumed my time there. Aside from that, I've been mostly developing PAT, both thinking about how the game will work and developing some image ideas for it.
To play the time management part of PAT I'm starting to think I'll make all those choices of what to do with your time in the day accessible from Shuji's apartment, a little bit like choosing jobs for the maids in the start of the day. I don't know if I'll have a part of the game about exploring the map to get to the locations - I would like to, though. The map will be larger this time than in PAL, so I don't want the gameplay to become tedious with a lot of walking around all over the place too much. Also, it'll take time to develop a more interactive global map, which is something I want very much, but I might have to introduce it slowly as I make the game.
Another thing I've been doing there is thinking about Mika's personality. To be honest, I mostly just came up with a visual and concept design for her without really knowing what I'd do with the character. Now I'm playing with some concepts that might work; I feel that a lot of good character design originates by giving the character a central contradiction at her core and I just needed to identify that. I won't go into details about that, though, because I don't want to spoil things.
PAL work
And lastly I've done a bit of work on PAL's next update; a mix of programming, bug fixing, a couple of image revisions and some writing for the patron commissions. I'm thinking I might add a room in the victory suite for you to replay the intros and interruptions of the daily sex scenes, as well as perhaps the "entering bedrooms at night" scenes.
Slightly shorter update this week, since I've already done an update recently. What do you think of the image? And the PAT development? Let me know in the comments!
