Update - Kim visits Squid Beach!
🕑 Added 2018-05-27 22:00:59 +0000 UTC tl;dr - I've made a new character design for PAT, plus I've been playing with some stuff for the next PAL release.PAT character design
If you read my Discord group then you'll know that this week I developed a new character design for PAT - Mika. I did this basically because I had an idea for the visual design without really yet having a clear sense of the character or how she's going to fit in to the story. I like her, so I think she will feature prominently in the game, but I still need to work out the particulars. I also think she'll fit in well to contrast and play off the other characters I've already designed, once I have a good feel of how to get all the characters mixing together in the course of normal gameplay (which is a challenge I'm having a bit of trouble with right now).
I'm not showing her off here just yet, because the design is so new that I will most likely want to make some more tweaks and changes to her before she's ready to reveal. Most of my major character designs take a bunch of revisions before they're ready for prime time.
Next release
I'm still kind of kicking around what will be in the next PAL release. I've had a few ideas about possible extra bonus endings, but I don't yet know whether these will make it into the game. I'm waiting to see if inspiration strikes and I feel like pursuing the ideas. There is one that I've been working on a bit, so there's a decent chance that that one at least will make it in. One thing, though, is that I really don't want to be bound to do all the possible combinations in different bonus endings, because that's a lot of work and I really don't have enough good ideas right now for all of them.
In addition to that, I'm still considering whether to include some of the new collector card stuff or hold off on that until I can put them all in, plus I'm still wondering whether I'll have a good batch of Nega Maid stuff done in time to include it. The Nega Maids are surprisingly hard to write well, so progress on them has been a little sluggish. I have been chipping away at those scenes - I'll get them done eventually!
This week's been a little bit of a reset after the last release, so I'm still figuring things out a little. What do you think? Should I put some of the collector cards in the next release even though I can't have them all in yet? Would you like to see more endings? Let me know in the comments!

I thought you might respond to this one. :)
Say what you will about them, tentacles are smooth operators. Or, well, slippery/slimy ones at least ...
