Update - 12 September 2016
🕑 Added 2016-09-12 02:26:19 +0000 UTC tl;dr - I'm working on v0.13.0 of PAL, which will involve adding the climax and endings! That means voice acting and image design, mostly. Plus I've been doing planning and prep for my next big project. This week's image
Don't go anywhere, Iku! The game's endings are coming soon!
This picture is actually from the Iku ending, and even though it looks a bit like Kenji's a vampire who's going to suck Iku's blood (that's not what he really wants to suck!) I quite like this image just because of how Iku looks in it.
Incidentally, do you guys want to see any tentacle content? I could post one of those pics next time if you want, but I know some players don't like it. I've generally been avoiding posting pics into the updates that constitute sex content that some people aren't going to enjoy. What's your position on this? Should I just post anything or avoid showing you stuff you might not want to see?
Recovering
If you're interested at all you may have noticed I've been complaining a lot about how sick I am. :) I caught a cold which I was just going to wait out but it progressed to a fairly bad infection. I went and got some antibiotics and other stuff to treat my symptoms so now I'm mostly better. I did keep working through it so I haven't really lost a whole lot of progress or anything. I really don't want to lose time on game development - I'd really like to get the game finished and released ASAP.
Work on the endings
So the main project for the next alpha release is to complete the game's main story line and normal+combo endings. This doesn't include the harem mode (which will provide the complete ending to the story) but it will give the standard endings - a total of nine (six 1-on-1 ends and three combo ends). As you'll know if you've played the game, completing the project also involves putting in the climax of the game, the 'Rising'.
While I'd done at least some work on all of the endings, only a couple of them are really finished in terms of the writing. I often find the endings hard to write because you have to sum up the characters and their relationships, do something fresh and interesting, and also avoid covering the same stuff that will be addressed in the harem ending. I also need to work on the illustrations for those scenes, since none of them are yet fully illustrated. (Maybe Iku, I don't know.) While these scenes are non-interactive they are important and I hope you'll get a kick out of them. I know to a lot of players the endings are very important. :)
First I've been primarily focusing on the climax, though, which has involved voice editing and image design. The climax, without giving too much away, will involve some plot developments and a fight scene.
Future project development
I wound up spending some of my time this week in development of a future project. This is one I've spoken about a bit before; I'll be announcing it close to the release date of PAL. I'm hoping you're going to like what you see!
To be more specific, during this process I've been developing my notes/outline file (these are long and detailed, exploring characters, scenes, plot details, etc.) and getting regular feedback on them from AW Freyr and EFon, both of whom have been contributing writing for PAL. I've also been creating and then extensively tweaking the character models, their various outfits and the environments they will explore.

I'm not into tentacle stuff, but i don't mind you showing what naughty things you come up with.

Noted. :)
Personally I say nay to tentacles but if I am outnumbered then I can deal with it. Great work as usual BBBen.
