Another Let Me Out test shot
🕑 Added 2016-02-26 03:14:00 +0000 UTC Here's another Let Me Out test picture I was playing around with. This one might be a lot closer than the previous ones to stuff you'd actually see in the game. I figured that maybe some of the uncanny valley problems I've been having with the character model might be fixed if I put her in a more complete environment (as I planned to do anyway). I will be adding more environmental features, too, because I want the scene to look more busy and complete when I'm done with it.I've reverted back to an earlier version of Twyla and made a few tweaks to the original model, rather than going ahead with the modifications I made the last time, since my last round of experimentation was pretty unsuccessful.
I also tried a few test shots going back to the older 3Delight renderer, but I just didn't like it as much. I'm thinking I will have to try to make the Iray renderer work.
I think I need to make some changes to the orc. At the least I'll need to change his skin texture because it makes him look too much like the goblin in LMI.
By the way, in case you were wondering, although this situation looks a lot more dire for Twyla than in the last game, she's actually going to be a lot less of a victim in this one, if only because you'll be playing as Twyla in LMO. My tagline for the game is this: "Who will win the battle of wits between an ugly orc and an imprisoned princess?"
So anyway, what do you think? Any comments, objections or suggestions?

Like the scene and yes orc needs a little touch up skin texture possibly. Until you actually start writting you can't tell how the progression will go. Enjoying pal emencly. Keep up the great work.

I haven't actually written anything yet (I'm working on PAL after all) so it's pretty much just ideas and a few test images so far. So nothing is really designed to avoid offending people, it's more that I just don't want the tone to become too sour - I want it to be fairly light and fun. Reading your comment did make me think about the character progression for Twyla, though. Writing a character sometimes needs me to get back into the head of that character when I might have been out of it for a while. Now I'm back to thinking about what Twyla's core features were I think it will be interesting to see how her inexperience and naivete resonate with the new scenario (and her escape attempt). I don't plan to make her a super slut, she'll just have more agency, although some of that should ultimately be in the player's control. I guess that's a kind of vague response - I'm trying to avoid giving away spoilers.

"Victim"? That's an odd read of the previous game. I didn't see it any different than hitting on a girl who's sheltered or an airhead. Not something I'd feel comfortable with in real life, but not in a game. It won't be any fun without some deviancy...trying to hold it to religious or feminist standards makes no sense, porn is a no-no for both. I really hope her character isn't changed into a superslut to avoid offending people.
