Update 32
🕑 Added 2015-10-26 00:26:07 +0000 UTC tl;dr - New alpha coming soon, games on Kimochi, bonus sex puzzles, computer update.Today's image
Paizuri!
I know it's dark because of the scene - low lighting in a bedroom - but hopefully you should still be able to see just fine. :) Actually, let me know if you really can't; that could be an issue with differences in people's monitors. Looking at it today it might be a little too dark, even considering the light is supposed to be low.
There's a follow up to this picture in the actual game, so if you're a titfucking enthusiast don't worry, the game has more in store for you.
New alpha coming soon - programming progress
Despite not having access to my new computer all week, I've actually made good progress. In fact I'd actually say this has been an unusually productive week, although I don't have obvious stuff to show for it right now. That's because it's all been boring, behind the scenes progress making stuff work.
First I was doing a lot of the dull, unchallenging but necessary sound editing, programming and text formatting. After that I started adding features, so that the game has been expanded enough to justify a new alpha release. What I'm mainly holding back for at the moment is the chance to fully test the new stuff and get out the bugs, because testing can take quite a while. I may add a couple more small features while I'm at it, too.
What will be new:
- Kimiko sex scene (mostly) complete but missing some illustrations.
- Combat improvements (you can now see what damage is being inflicted as it is done).
- A bit more of the plot, including the Hiroshi parts of the game.
- Hiroshi's shop.
- A new hidden section of the map.
- Some illustrations replaced with better versions (mostly Iray).
- Other little things.
Games on Kimochi!
Almost forgot to mention this - I now have Let Me In, Pervert Action: Crisis and Pervert Action: Future all available on Kimochi! It's pretty cool, and I think I might be the author with the most games on the platform right now. I plan to release future games on there as well, as it's a good way to reach more players, but I'll still release games in other ways as well. This doesn't really change anything for you, but it's kind of exciting anyway.
Here's the website if you want to try the Kimochi client: https://kimochi.co/
Plenty of surprises still to come
I just thought I'd make a small point here - even if you've read all the updates I've made so far and played the current alpha you don't need to be afraid that I've given all the fun away. Actually I've been holding back a lot in the way of plot and character developments, and some of the biggest stuff in the game really is yet to be revealed. I don't know why I feel compelled to make that point, it just felt like it was called for.
Bonus sex puzzles
Something we came up with recently was an idea to put a little puzzle into each of the main, one-on-one sex scenes. Each one will have a variety of non-standard optional sex acts, and when you do one you'll get a point. Get five points in a sex scene then you complete a puzzle, and you get a card.
Combined with the sex scene 'stages' (each sex scene has a stage 1 and a stage 2), the actions that are based on a character's skills in hand/mouth/eye and the orgasms, this makes the sex gameplay fairly intricate. Certainly it's deeper than the sex gameplay in PAF, although not as overwhelmingly hard to implement as in PAC. It's kind of a nice balance, where the depth is less standardised and more determined by the story to give you variety.
I don't want to give away what the bonus sex acts will be, but they're generally contextually relevant, so they're not totally random or anything. Often this game will reward you (in sex and out) for experimenting and trying things that aren't on the normal 'rails' of gameplay. I'd actually love to add more lateral gameplay actions to the game at contextual situations, so if you have any ideas let me know.
Computer issues
A quick update here, not much to say at the moment. I haven't got my new PC back from the shop yet. I don't think they've worked out what's wrong with it yet, but at least they appear to be taking the problem reasonably seriously and actually trying to work out what's wrong with it. Mind you, if I don't hear from them about it today then I'll be calling them again tomorrow just to check on their progress, because if they aren't working on it very fast I'll have to remind them it's supposed to be a priority repair.
