Update 16
🕑 Added 2015-07-06 14:05:06 +0000 UTC tl;dr Let Me In complete beta version soon, more PAL voice acting.Today's picture:
This is a shot of Fumi after she's just drunk a 'passion potion', which is a special item that you can only get if you do certain things in the game. As you can see it's having quite an effect on her. It may not be the final version of the picture... not sure.
I wanted to show off her animal form this week (which is a cat-girl) but I found that there really wasn't a good picture available for that yet. I have some pics of the cat-girl form, but they were either super-spoilery or just not particularly great because they were test shots, not finals. I don't want to show off inferior test shots because you might get the wrong idea about how she'll look in the finals.
Oh, all animal form pictures are done by Phinn, by the way, who has come up with the amazing morphed forms of the characters, so I can't just whip one up quickly to show off for you :)
Let Me In:
It's been a very busy week of work on the games and I'm getting close to a (more or less) finished beta version of LMI. Over the course of the last week I've been refining the structure of the last ending, as well as several smaller features that weren't working very well. I've gone over some more transcripts for new responses and better parser syntax, and I've made several new pictures (both for the fourth ending, and an extra one for when Twyla opens the door).
The actual ending #4 is partially written - I just need to be in the right mood to get that finished. I think all the art is basically done now, I've even taken another shot at making a title image, so let me know what you think of that when you see it. Some of the art may not be final; I don't mind criticism on images, by the way, as I do like to know when they need fixing.
Once all that is done I'll be putting out the beta; that's a feature-complete version, but probably still a bit buggy and maybe with some room for some more responses. Therefore I'll appreciate some testing, so I can know when to slap a v1.0 on it and call it finished.
PAL voice acting:
I've received some nice work from Sacci (Iku) this week; not the whole lot, but her script is the longest. There have been a few issues with her microphone, and while she can always get another one we're hoping that it will hold out so there's complete audio consistency on her recordings. Anyway, it's sounding good so far, but she hasn't got to most of the really fun stuff yet :)
Oh, and if you ever feel like sending her some positive reinforcement I know she really appreciates it. That applies to all the voice actresses, but Sacci really takes an interest in the games and the people who play them - she plays them herself.
In addition I've received the rest of the Ai voice acting, which includes all of the fun stuff. :) That means I'm now only waiting on the remainder of Sacci's stuff, and the Minami stuff. Almost done with that.
Next week:
Any requests for next week's image? If you'd like something a little more explicit for Fumi I can probably arrange that :) or I could give you someone else. What would you like? Want another voice acting sample? If so, whom? Let me know in the comments below.
