$5+ Update 2.3: Should I make a public demo? Also, here's a pic.
🕑 Added 2015-03-28 03:31:43 +0000 UTC We're still a few days away from a proper update, but I felt like giving you something today, so the big monthly update is still coming, but this is a bonus. I should probably make this a weekly blog anyway. I've been working for the last week or so on various endings for the game, including the harem ending (which is more elaborate). That's just a little "here's what I'm doing right now" update, I guess. I'm thinking I might spend a little while making some more of the graphics next, but I don't know. Maybe it'll be better to do a bit of programming instead. Anyway, one thing I've been thinking about, and which I wanted to run past the patrons first, is that I've been thinking it might be a good idea at some point to release a short demo version of the game. This would show some of the first day, introducing most of the female characters and including a little bit of fooling around, but ultimately being a tease, and just basically an add for the eventual release. If I do this then I would want to give $10 patrons a better version (namely, with more sex), but I don't know if this might seem like a screw-job to those of you who have shown faith in me by backing at the $10 level and expect beta access. You will, of course, receive full beta access when that comes around, and this demo would not include a whole lot of gameplay or loads of sex. I just suddenly have to think about what would give the game more exposure, and that seems to mean I have to have content to show. Let me know if you have an opinion on this - I won't move on it right now anyway, this is just me thinking right now. The picture I posted is kind of weird, I know - I put it up here because I posted a pic based off this pose on my new twitter account for National Cleavage Day (probably a dumb thing to do, but what the hell). I wanted to show you the real thing, because it's a scene showing one of Kenji's character traits - he sometimes gets crazy sexual fantasies that seem almost real to him. Here, soon after meeting Iku, he pictures himself buried between her enormous breasts. The sexual fantasies thing is an idea I developed with Another Wannabe, and he's been guest writing several elaborate scenes for Kenji to imagine about each of the girls, generally based on film references.

Interesting video - while some of the points don't quite apply (since I'm not selling the game) there are some good arguments against the idea there. It would be a problem if the demo didn't represent the game all that well, and the truth is that I wouldn't want to put much content into it, so it might under-represent the game. I guess you're right that spreading around the existing games is the best idea. It's surprisingly hard, though.

Demo's are generally a bad idea. And also editing in your Patreon link in those games.
