So this week we won't have a Podcast, Issac is home supporting his wife who just went through surgery (nothing major, don't worry) and as such I'll be at the office by myself so I want to take this time to make a very massive post explaining everything what is going on with Heaven Studios and most importantly, why no ETA for the patch yet?
I know people are used to a certain pace from us and that pace has been one of the main reasons why people have followed and trusted Heaven Studios so far, but for our "last" Fleeting Iris patch we don't want to rush things out and we don't want quality to take a hit for the sake of speed. From this point on there's no "oh, we'll improve it later" or "we'll make some adjustments down the road", there is no down the road. We won't be revisiting Fleeting Iris for a while and we want to make sure that we wrap it up on a high note and not with an underwhelming patch.
Over the course of these many years, our CG team has improved a lot and scenes look better and better, just compare the early game scenes with the hobo scenes from last patch! Unfortunately, that amount of quality and detail takes some added time to make, all the little nuances like characters kissing mid scene and all the other details take a long time to be created and this patch is not only unprecedented in terms of number of scenes, detail, animations and everything else, but we also have higher standards for it.
I know by now you guys should already be expecting a patch or an ETA but I don't want to miss this one and I don't want to come here with empty promises. I can promise it will be very soon, there's only 3 or so scenes to finish up but I also want to remind you that if you're impatient you can follow our progress via Discord once every scene is completed and you can follow the CG team progress on a daily basis if you're in the 30$ tier. We are not working slower, we're not being lazy, we're just working more and in higher quality and this will be obvious once you guys get your hands on the patch, I can promise you that! We never disappointed you guys for 7 years and we are not going to start now.
Not going to lie, this big gap between patches has been helpful to the coding team (Issac and I) because while the CG team is working tirelessly in the patch, we've been able to focus on the upcoming games as well as the ridiculous amounts of bureaucracy that has been thrown our way this year due to selling our game on Steam.
There's so much stuff to focus on right now, so many fronts, it's Fleeting Iris, Fleeting Iris IF, Blood Lust, Journey Abroad and that's just the games, not to mention all the stuff around it and real life stuff as well, I mean, I went through hell with stress and anxiety a few months ago so what did I do? Jump into more projects, but I don't know how to function any other way, by now you guys know me, I'm just impatient and excited to show you guys the result of our hard work, all in due time.
I hope you guys understand why we don't want to put out garbage and why it's taking so long, we don't want to rush the CG team, we don't want quality to take a hit, we want Fleeting Iris last patch before our break from it to be a 10 out of 10.
As soon as this patch is done, whenever it is, we will begin working on the IF part 2 with the DLC content which will be released exclusively via our website.
Speaking of which, we have decided to abandon PixelDrain as a host for our files, despite having a rather easy layout and providing us with a download number as well as a few other nice functionalities, some users were having issues with it and not too long ago our anti-virus started going haywire when accessing that website. If it was just for us from a user standpoint we would just take responsibility and use it, no problem, but I can not in good conscience subject our users to a website that is deemed not safe on a professional environment, as such, apologies to those users who have some issues with MEGA, we tried to do better, but so far IF is around 350MB so it shouldn't be much of an issue. The link has been updated in our website.
To wrap up the things I want to talk about today, we tried creating a phub account as we promised, couldn't, a lot of restrictions right now so we made an xvideos one and here is the first animation that sadly didn't make it into the game because it was too big:
WARNING! NSFW: https://www.xvideos.com/video66700367/fleeting_iris_-_full_animation_video_1
It's obvious that due to how much the video is animated that the size is way too big, not to mention we'd have to add 3 videos for each skin complexity, default, tanned and tanlines. It's a shame because the animation looks amazing but we have since restricted the animations to a maximum of 16 frames and you will be able to see all of them in the upcoming patch.
I hope I am not forgetting anything... if you guys have any questions or concerns I encourage you to share it with us.
For now that's all, I hope you guys are doing great and that you and your loved ones remain safe and healthy.
As always, thank you so much for your support. We love you guys.

animation is pretty hype. No rush for sure, take your time to deliver the quality you guys think is necessary.
