Chapter 100: Adapting to the Circumstances
Blood splattered everywhere beneath the table. Five legs were severed from their bodies. Only the man who stood up to scold Jun reacted quickly enough to save one of his legs.
The smell of blood spread through the air!
Everything happened so fast! It was shocking to see such large men lose their limbs so easily without putting up any resistance!
No one knew better than Chen how difficult it was to live without a leg, as he was the only one in the room with a limp. But now these three men had firsthand experience of what that old man, who had been assaulted by bandits, felt.
Clang! Clang! Clang!
The unexpected turn of events caught everyone by surprise! With the collaboration of the two supreme assassins in this hotel, perhaps not even a thousand men could defend themselves against them!
The other two in purple robes at the table, who had just been sitting there quietly moments ago, ready to enjoy their wine without harming anyone, suddenly found themselves in a completely different situation. Their eyes, which moments earlier had been watching with interest as if they were witnessing a play, now widened in shock. The competition between these commoners had really been none of their concern.
How could they have expected something so surprising to happen to them?
And it was undeniably cruel.
They were incapacitated instantly!
The two men in purple only felt the emptiness beneath their knees, accompanied by the comforting sensation of blood spurting. They didn’t even have time to feel pain!
And in the next moment, Chen's sword was already descending upon them!
The wind from the blade shot upward as everything became engulfed in the flashes of the sword. It was like a dream, a fantasy unfolding on the table, while beneath it was nothing but blood.
Soon, a sea of blood emerged in the small room!
The scene lived up to the name of where they came from—their Illusory Blood Clan.
With two cries, the two assassins, whose legs had been severed, broke the chairs they were sitting in, their faces twisted in pain. Their bodies fell backward, and once again they faced Chen's flashing blade.
Crack! Crack! Crack!
Blood gushed from everywhere—their chests, foreheads, and faces. With the sudden assassination attempt, they had lost their legs and were slashed in numerous places. They had become blood-soaked men! Trying to fight back with all their might, they forced the blood to spray with more pressure, forming several columns of blood.
To Jun, they looked like fountains of water splattering blood, like a punctured air pump.
The once cozy hotel had instantly turned into a hellscape!
Blood spilled onto the dishes and wine on all the tables. Everyone was petrified.
The man in purple who had previously stood up wobbled as he tried to regain his balance. His face was pale. With a scream of pain, he drew a cold sword and leaped, aiming it at old Chen.
Chen made no sound, not even breathing. The sword in his hand appeared mysteriously and vanished just as quickly. His body flickered within the flashes of the sword.
From time to time, he straightened his stance, and multiple shadows of him seemed to emerge in the air.
Jun finally understood why Chen was so highly acclaimed as the king of assassins.
Their fighting styles were remarkably similar!
Chen's style was strikingly similar to the sword techniques derived from the Asura village!
Sometimes in front, sometimes behind, Chen was everywhere when fighting multiple enemies.
"This old man is good; we fight alike," Jun thought as he watched the battle with great interest.
Clang! Clang! Clang!
With two sharp sounds, the two men in purple fell like broken kittens, each with a bright, bloody hole in their throats.
Chen's body also bore some bloodstains, but his expression remained unchanged. The long sword emerged brilliantly from the blur. With a snap, it made contact with the sword rushing toward him.
Chen landed slowly on the table, standing tall with his sword. Blood slid down the blade.
“Old assassin? What a vile strategy!” said the last man in purple standing, looking crazed, as if he wanted to devour Chen whole. After their clash, he rolled in the air before finally standing again with difficulty. He only had one leg left, after all.
His left leg had been severed at the knee, along with his left hand. Yet, miraculously, only a few drops of blood dripped from him as he used a technique to staunch the bleeding. Standing on one leg, he glared at Chen with hatred.
“Indeed! Now that you've lost a leg, do you understand how hard the road ahead will be?" Chen's voice had changed. It had turned cold, with a sharp killing intent. His eyes no longer wandered; they fixed on his target. "How dare you harm innocent villages just to take revenge for the words of a foolish king?"
“Are you a justice-seeking hero now? How many innocent men have you killed for money? How many children have you left fatherless? Now that everyone knows who you are, I wonder how you'll escape," the man in purple spat, knowing that everyone would be eager to kill the king of assassins.
"My dirty tricks may not make me the strongest, but they are definitely enough to kill the self-righteous fools who kill for sport!" Chen's gaze was as sharp as blades. "Idiot, your leg's been severed, your body is poisoned, and you can't escape my sword. There's no option left but to take your own life!"
“Haha… I will live and die with my brothers. Now that they are dead, I have no intention of living either. But before I die, I must know one thing!" murmured the man in purple, suddenly turning his head to glare at Jun fiercely.
"Who in the world are you? Why are you working with this old man against our clan? Do you know the price you'll pay?"
"Who am I?" Jun glanced at the pools of blood in astonishment. Suddenly, he shouted in panic, "Murder! Bloody murder! Save me… It's terrifying… Call the national guard; this one-legged man is killing everyone!"
"Whoever you are! Whether you intended it or not, you and your family are dead! Those who make mistakes always pay the price!"
The man in purple trembled all over, furious at the fake performance, then suddenly turned back to face Chen, gripping his sword.
"Die!"
His greatest enemy was still Chen. As for this young man, even if he were truly the assassin’s subordinate, he was still nothing more than an ant in his eyes. just an ant! As long as he survived in the end, the young man wouldn’t escape either!
The man in purple’s sudden roar, driven by adrenaline, was so powerful it punched a large hole in the ceiling with a mighty blow. The sound waves spread, echoing through the surrounding mountains.
Chen stared at his enemy coldly. "You’re a loud one, aren’t you?"
"I’ll cut you down, you damned old bag of bones."
Before he could finish, Chen's body leaned forward as if preparing to strike.
The man in purple roared and aimed his sword. But as he lunged, Chen boldly rushed at him and disappeared into thin air!
Simultaneously, an extremely sharp gust of sword wind approached his back. The man in purple was no novice; he didn’t panic. With another roar, he sped backward, straight into the wind without dodging. He pressed his back against the wall and attacked!
He wanted to ensure mutual destruction, at the very least!
Clang!
But with an unnatural twist, unexpected for a man his age, Chen swung his sword backward and managed to sever the head of the man in purple, though he received a cut to his abdomen as a price.

2 chapters to introduce a character, in my opinion he will have great importance in the story and on thé army soon.
Jesus Cardenas
I thought about that, it seems we both have a similar vision.

TFTC, why bother taking an illusory title when it is much simpler to control the man who owns this title (in addition this man must have a very good network of information to know what is happening here.)
