Chapter 103: Seal and Blood
Boom!
Bang! Bang! Bang!
"Place the relic in the center!" shouted a priest as he pulled out a golden Grimoire.
While other agents fought and Anton battled fiercely against the demon, a group of five skilled exorcists surrounded a chalice, which was actually an ancient relic.
The red chalice was an ancient sealing relic, adorned with ten pearls embedded around it. Its elegant design stood out with a deep red hue and intricate details that evoked a sense of mystery and power. Each pearl meticulously placed emitted a subtle glow, suggesting a connection to ancient energies.
The priests surrounding the chalice cut their left hands, and their blood filled the inside of the chalice, which lay on the ground, glowing with an abnormal color.
"Let's begin!"
Joining their bloody hands with their uncut ones, the drops of blood falling on the ground began to form an ancient rune, and a sinister energy started to surround them.
According to ancient legends, monks and warlocks were the best at sealing ancient spirits, especially when it came to demons. Using their knowledge, numerous methods to seal demons were created, and this was one of the most powerful.
"Princeps gloriosíssime, cæléstis milítiæ, sancte Michaël Archángele, defénde nos in prælio adversus príncipes et potestátes, advérsus mundi rectóres tenebrárum harum, contra spirituália nequítiæ, in cælestibus."
Each exorcist priest was chanting a powerful prayer against the evil aimed at the demon, which was growing increasingly aggressive.
"In the name of Jesus Christ, our God and Lord, by the intercession of the Immaculate Virgin Mary, Mother of God; of Saint Michael the Archangel; of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul, and all the Saints, and relying on the sacred authority our ministry confers upon us, we proceed with confidence to reject the assaults that the devil's cunning stirs against us."
Terry watched as the most experienced exorcists began reciting the prayers. Knowing Anton was facing the worst, he raised his weapon and shot at the stone figures that continuously attacked them.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
"Ahhhhh! My hand! It bit my hand!" cried a soldier whose hand had been bitten by one of the stone figures.
Terry dragged the soldier and quickly applied a tourniquet, removed his helmet, and said, "Are you alright? You’ll pull through; it doesn't look that bad, kid."
"Understood, sir..."
Boom!
A powerful explosion suddenly echoed, and Terry, who was aiding the agent, was blown away by the shockwave that erupted beside him.
Feeling that surge of force pushing him back, Terry wanted to stand, but at that moment, a goat-like figure appeared in front of his eyes.
"In the name of the Lord, have mercy on me..."
"What are you doing, sir? There's nothing in front of you!" A young agent looked at Terry on the ground and approached to check if he had any injuries.
Terry looked at the agent, his eyes focusing on the figure in front of him, but at that moment, a broken piece of rock flew out of the darkness and lodged in the agent's neck.
"Nooo!" Terry felt the warm blood of the agent cover his face. His frightened gaze swept the surroundings and discovered that, except for a few agents, everyone else was on the ground.
It was known that to complete the sealing, they needed the blood of the demon they intended to seal. So now, it was all up to Anton whether it would be a success or not.
"We're all counting on you, Guardian..."
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Arghhhhh!!!!
"Zz... This is Terry, agent in service... Requesting reinforcements and medical teams, numerous agents were wounded... Cough! Cough! We are in the middle of an operation, but we need reinforcements. A powerful demon is crushing us."
"Ahhhhh!"
Boom!
