Chapter 79: Suppressing the Vampires
"They’re incredibly fast." Bobby was amazed at how all the vampires had been killed and how the experienced soldiers did it without much effort.
A logistics assistant smiled slightly, noticing the astonishment of those around him. "Most of them are retired soldiers or people who have lost loved ones to dark entities. As for me, I lost my dog—a werewolf ate him in the forest."
Bobby looked at the young assistant, never imagining that things like this existed in the world. Everything he was seeing through the special cameras designed to detect vampires was simply incredible.
"These vampires seem strong, but surely Morbius has more experience. I hope no one gets hurt," Bobby murmured as he watched the vampires being dragged into special trucks.
It's no lie—no one cared more about Ethan and his friends' safety than they did themselves.
Bobby might be the most concerned among the others, barely understanding what was happening.
...
"Prepare to descend; activate night vision!"
"Zz... activating night vision, Command 1 ready!"
Ethan slowly descended the stairs to the dark basement, but before he could go down, the creaking of the old wooden house caught his attention.
Descending into the dark basement, he discovered that it had been dug out, as if the vampire living here had somehow expanded the underground area to store his vampire army.
But it was surprising that there weren't many of them; otherwise, it would have been more work to eliminate them.
These kinds of vampires had no salvation—the only way to help them was to kill them, and Ethan was very good at that.
Roooaaarrrr!
At that moment, Ethan, who was looking further into the basement, saw a vampire lunging at him. "Take care of your own safety."
Crack!
The vampire's right fist was caught by Ethan, the devastating force of his body releasing massive amounts of brute strength, causing the vampire's arm to break like a dry branch.
The next moment, several vampires dropped from the ceiling, falling on several soldiers, who immediately released their weapons to shake off the vampires.
"Ahhhhh!"
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Ethan raised his gun, fired several shots, and said, "Switch to lethal caliber; eliminate the vampires without considering collateral damage!"
But at that moment, Ethan, who was helping the soldiers who were caught off guard by the vampires, felt a presence next to him. As he turned around, a powerful blow struck his chest, sending him flying.
"Regent!"
A soldier who was too far away to intervene pulled out his silver knife, looked at the vampire, and immediately attacked him in close combat.
"What an arrogant human..." Morbius dodged the slow soldier’s attack and struck his throat, ripping off part of the skin.
Ethan suddenly saw how Morbius had killed two of the five soldiers. From the ground, he shot several times at the vampire.
"We have two casualties! I repeat, we have two casualties! Switch to offensive caliber; eliminate the remaining vampires!"
Ethan, who stood up, spat blood and watched the vampires emerge from the darkness. He closed his eyes slightly and said, "You're stronger than you look."
"And you seem crueler than you appear. Do you want to kill these vampires that can be saved? That’s very cruel of you, don’t you think?" Morbius licked the blood from his hand and approached Anton with a cold look to have a better conversation.
"You're wrong about one thing."
Morbius raised his eyebrows in surprise and asked, "What would I be wrong about?"
"We could blow you to pieces by exploding this house, but this is our training." Ethan stood up, shook his arms, and pulled out a silver dagger.
Ethan, no longer caring about the others, looked at the vampire before him and said, "I want to know what it feels like for a child in your eyes to kill you!"
"I’m going to rip your eyes out!" shouted Morbius as he lunged directly at Anton.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Ethan fired several shots, which Morbius dodged. Seeing this, he changed his attack method, and moving between the vampire’s claws, he struck his chest with all his might.
Boom!
Morbius was shocked that Anton sent him flying backward with a single punch and muttered, "You're not human."
"Who told you we don’t play by the same rules?" Ethan asked as he raised his arm, looking at the vampire with a hint of mockery.
"Ahhhhhh!"
"You’ll die the worst way..." Ethan murmured as a sword, shrouded in black mist, slashed forward.
Crack!
Cutting through the air, Morbius felt his body burning and looked at Ethan’s hand in disbelief. "You’re an immortal dog; how many years do you really have?"
Bang! Bang! Bang!
At that moment, a dozen elite soldiers entered and immediately began shooting.
