Chapter 90: The Search
A few days later, on the outskirts of the city, not far from the center, Anton was sent alone to investigate the special werewolf. To search for this werewolf, one must know the traces it has left behind and the way it operates. The Eye of God, known by this name as the most incredible artificial intelligence in the world, was in the hands of the Association of Light.
Knowing where it was, Anton was sent alone to investigate, and using this equipment, he began searching to see if anyone had reported anything mysterious in the last few days—disappearances and strange searches related to something supernatural.
It is common to see neighbors discover a werewolf before anyone else, so knowing this, he would search for information on the internet without any protection, and that's when the Eye of God discovers them.
"[In the last 24 hours, 92 investigations have been made on vampires, disappearances, and family murders, all from a single IP address.]"
Anton is driving a Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat. With its supercharged 707-horsepower engine, this high-end car offers impressive performance that gives Anton incredible maneuverability in the city.
"What specific types of investigations has that IP address conducted?" Anton asked as he drove to a café.
"All investigations have been about vampires, disappearance cases, and methods to pay a vampire."
Looking at the information he had been sent, Anton looked at the last investigation, which was about the murder of a family, and murmured, "A method related to vampires, not linked to werewolves..."
"Vampires..."
Walking towards the café, Anton attracted a lot of attention with his all-black suit and somewhat striking appearance, which was very attractive.
"Five cases of disappearances, closed houses where people usually sleep..." Anton muttered as he checked for information about disappearances.
Looking at who had been investigating vampires, Anton discovered that a boy his age, practically named Ed Thompson, had searched hundreds of times for different events related to vampires. So, gathering all the information about him, he headed to his university.
It was early in the morning, so Anton, who arrived in his flashy car, walked towards the university grounds.
"Are you a student?"
Anton diverted his gaze to a girl who had approached him and said, "Unfortunately, I'm just looking for someone, but you would help me a lot if you knew which classrooms this guy usually studies in."
The girl looked at Ed Thompson's picture and shook her head. "It would be lucky if you found someone who knew about a student. Why don't you go to the administration to find out where he is?"
Anton nodded, looked at the girl, and said, "Then that would be all. Thank you for lending me a few seconds of your time."
"I could lend you whatever you want; you just have to ask." The girl smiled sensually and walked away from Anton with a subtle look.
Anton smiled slightly but didn't say anything. He knew what the girl was insinuating. He just wanted to know some people's impressions of Ed Thompson. Still, knowing that he wasn't very well known, he went directly to a university building.
Looking around, it's surprising how uncomfortable Anton feels here. He had never thought he would feel that way, especially knowing that he did have an education.
"I guess it could have been a good experience, although in the end, it probably wouldn't have served me for anything." Anton arrived at a classroom, and seeing that they were taking attendance, he lightly tapped on the door before opening it.
"Teacher, excuse the inconvenience; I'm looking for Ed Thompson; is he around here?" Anton asked the teacher who was taking attendance.
"Oh, Ed Thompson? I just passed his name on the list, and he has missed classes."
Anton looked at the students, and his gaze focused on a quite peculiar boy who had been staring at him, but in the end, he sighed with fatigue.
"Then I won't bother you anymore; I'm sorry."
"It's no problem; anything else?" The teacher asked, seeing how polite the young man who had come to her door was.
Anton shook his head and said, "It wouldn't be anything else; I'm leaving."
Having found nothing here, what Anton would do was go to Ed Thompson's house, so he left the university.
