Chapter 23: Sharing Information
Kiran was in the boxing gym, where he had decided to train in Hapkido to familiarize himself with his new strength and abilities. Since receiving the HDW-37 serum that turned him into a superhuman, his perception of the world has completely changed.
Every movement he made was now imbued with destructive force. His punches were faster and more powerful than ever, capable of breaking punching bags with a single punch. The sounds of impact resonated in the gym as Kiran channeled his energy through his fists and kicks.
But not only had his strength increased, his senses had also sharpened astonishingly. He could hear even the faintest whispers, the heartbeats of people around him, and the slightest movement in his surroundings. Every sound and every movement was amplified in his mind, allowing him to anticipate the movements of his opponents with superhuman precision.
As he trained, Kiran reflected on how everything had changed for him since he underwent the transformation. He was now more than a common human; he was a being with extraordinary abilities and an even greater responsibility.
People around him would now look at him with awe and admiration, but also with a certain fear. His imposing presence and mastery of martial arts would intimidate those around him. However, Kiran knew that he had to use his new abilities with caution and responsibility.
As he continued his training, Kiran realized that he was no longer the same. His superhuman strength and senses had changed him both physically and mentally.
"I will use this strength to eliminate all dark entities that I can possibly eradicate," thought Kiran as his gaze entered a state of concentration.
While continuing his training in the boxing gym, Kiran was filled with gratitude for the opportunity to become something more than an ordinary man. He had been chosen to carry a special burden, and now he must use his strength and superhuman senses to protect humans from anomalies.
As he had researched and learned in the army, the human body possesses these three types of strength that they explored as the training became more intense.
"Now I should familiarize myself with explosive strength."
Technically, the punch he had just tried belonged to explosive strength. Regardless of the name, explosive strength is defined as the speed at which our muscles can move in weight. With this type of strength, what is gained is explosiveness and speed of movement.
"The speed of my attacks, well, let's start with that." Kiran quickly struck the punching bag at maximum speed.
Kiran squinted his eyes and took a deep breath.
Suddenly, Kiran struck with his right fist.
Splat! Splat! Splat!
Kiran hit the bag at a superhuman speed without apparent physical exertion; under the speed of his blows, the punching bag was shaken.
Feeling his blood gradually heating up, the force exerted in his punches increased rapidly. Just as Kiran felt he was about to reach his maximum attack speed, he suddenly stopped his punches.
"Evidently, the HDW-37 serum tremendously improved my speed; right now, my speed approaches that of a superhuman without effort." Kiran looked at his knuckles in astonishment.
Kiran prepared to find out how strong his punches could be if he used all his strength.
Using his pure strength, Kiran positioned himself in a standard boxing stance and struck with all his might.
Pum!
Under the explosive blow, the sandbag went flying.
"Eh?"
Kiran couldn't believe he had sent the punching bag flying with a single blow. Looking at his fist, Kiran discovered that his previously bruised knuckles were slowly healing. One could consider that both his speed and strength had increased exponentially.
After hitting and breaking numerous punching bags, Kiran felt no fatigue. Now, looking at how large the gym was, Kiran was about to test his speed.
Kiran walked to one end to begin testing how much his speed was affected. When he was ready, he ran quickly along the long, cleared path. Understanding the force in his legs and the speed that increased every second, he felt the wind whistling in his ears as he ran.
"What a fast speed; I've definitely never been able to reach this level of speed even when I was younger!" Kiran was very surprised.
Even if his speed did not surpass that of a superhuman, Kiran could feel that the fatigue that normally anyone would feel when running for a while did not cause him any problems. At the same time, he felt that his vision had undergone many changes. Looking at the wall in front of him, he exerted force in his legs and jumped as high as he could.
The speed and his jump completely exceeded his expectations; Kiran felt a deep freedom in his muscles and ignored the fact that he was about to crash into the wall.
Pum!
Lying on the ground, Kiran felt that everything he had done exceeded his expectations, and he could even swear that this was not his full potential.
If he now remembered the strength of the anomaly that wiped out his entire squad, he could feel that he had the physical capabilities to eliminate them without any problem.
It is also true that these types of emotions are momentary, as the new strength in his body continued to move towards a higher level.
Superhuman strength is one of the main factors in the HDW-37 serum, and it basically involves the serum drastically increasing the individual's physical strength. At this moment, Kiran can lift and throw objects that are much heavier than would be possible for a normal person. His ability to perform physical feats is astonishing, breaking barriers that once seemed insurmountable.
Another point Kiran discovered is his highly improved speed and agility. Humans who are athletes have superior speed and agility to normal humans. But now, with the serum running through his veins, Kiran can run faster, jump higher, and perform acrobatic movements with greater ease and precision.
What makes him a monster in a human body is his increased endurance. His physical endurance is noticeably superior, allowing him to exert prolonged efforts without easily getting fatigued. He can now maintain a constant pace of intense physical activity for extended periods without exhausting himself.
Kiran currently did not feel tired; the only sensation he felt at the moment was a cold feeling running through his veins as if the HDW-37 serum in his body was being stimulated.
While training, Kiran discovered that he had accelerated regeneration. With the HDW-37 serum, he now has the ability to heal and recover from wounds and injuries more quickly than normal humans. His regeneration system is accelerated, allowing him to heal faster and get back into action. Just when he broke his knuckles, hitting with all his might, the tear wounds healed quickly.
But what suddenly puzzled him more were his heightened senses, which activated when he was hitting the punching bag. His senses suddenly became sharper and more sensitive. Kiran can now see more clearly, hear subtler sounds, and smell with greater intensity. Needless to say, this gives him a tactical advantage by detecting dangers or threats before others.
A new aspect was pain resistance; with the HDW-37 serum, he now has a higher pain tolerance. The trauma to his knuckles did not make him feel any pain, allowing Kiran to think that this ability would be very useful when he gets injured in combat.
Lastly, although Kiran still did not perceive it clearly, his cognitive abilities were greatly improving. One of the hidden traits that none of those investigating this serum knew is that the serum can also enhance the individual's cognitive abilities, such as memory, learning ability, and decision-making. His ability to process information and think quickly becomes sharper.
After analyzing all these factors, Kiran began to hit the remaining punching bags with force, and only after a few more combinations did he stop breaking each bag he hit.
Believe it or not, Kiran had been struggling to measure his strength at the moment, which caused some serious problems for his friend's gym.
Beep! Beep!
But at that moment, his cell phone began to ring.
"Cursed Kiran, today I got my revenge on you since I bought the best meat," Noah muttered as he got off Kiran's motorcycle, whistling with joy.
"That was too terrifying; is that idiot really my friend?"
After Noah reached the gym's door, he slowly stopped, not hearing any noise inside. "What the hell...? Will he try to scare me again?"
"Kiran! I'm here, finished with your training...?" Upon entering, Noah looked at all the punching bags on the floor.
"Damn, did he damage all this?" As if a miniature hurricane had destroyed everything inside the gym, Noah was frozen seeing this disaster.
"Yes, sir, I'll be there in a moment." Kiran said as he hung up the call on his cell phone.
"You're back..." Kiran looked at his friend and found him paralyzed. "Don't worry, take note of all the damages, and I'll pay for the repair; after all, these equipments were already too old."
"Yes... Wait! Do you have that much money?" Noah nodded as he sat on an old chair.
Sitting in the chair, Kiran looked at his friend, who was still bewildered by all the damage, and asked with a serious voice, "Noah, do you really want to work for me on the team I'll be commanding? Do you feel any discomfort?"
Upon hearing Kiran's concerns, Noah's heart filled with warmth, and he slowly said, "I know it's hard to say, and I'm glad that you finally told me something about it. However, is it really something terrifying?"
"It's something that civilians like you shouldn't know; do you remember the movie we watched about monsters a few months ago? It would be something similar; there are things and evils you don't know, as well as wars and fights you shouldn't consider."
"That would be... If you really think I'm useful, I'd like to work by your side."
"Alright, you'll receive instructions later."
Looking at Noah, who had accepted joining the organization, Kiran got up from his seat. In the end, that's all he could do for his friend: prepare him for the future and let him know about the future evils that all of humanity will face at some point. That's the best he could do.
Soon, Kiran finished explaining briefly about the anomalies. After all, he was still not sure if Noah would fully accept it in the end.
"Alright, I'll have a meeting in a few minutes; see you later." Kiran quickly bid farewell.
After seeing Kiran leave, Noah smiled with joy. "Always being so careful, thanks for trusting me."
For a long time, Noah knew that Kiran was working on something that made him a lot of moneyβjust that motorcycle he had possibly cost what he would earn in years in this gym. Considering Kiran's work, the costs are impossible to relate.
