Chapter 69 - A Surprise
At this moment, Anton felt like an ordinary person. He had no special traits that set him apart from common humans. Both his powerful strength and energy-manipulated healing factor seemed as if they had never existed. Anton could feel the slightly open wound on his body suddenly stop healing.
"Can it do this too?" Anton smiled bitterly. He didn't expect the dark entity's dominance in the psychiatric hospital to have such an effect, nullifying all his strength.
"This dark entity is troublesome."
"It seems I've gotten into trouble this time." Anton's body couldn't move now; otherwise, he would definitely be attacking the smiling doll in some other way. But even so, Anton wasn't worried.
He was completely confident that he could deal with this dangerous situation. This was just the dream world. Even if many things could be reflected in reality, Anton still didn't believe that the other party could kill him in the dream world as easily as it was portraying.
Although there were signs of abuse on the victims' bodies, wasn't the cause of death still shock? If this mysterious dark entity was really so powerful, it could easily kill him and dispense with unnecessary games for a dark entity. Why create the dream world? Why was there a need for this? Was it just to torture people? Anton didn't believe that.
He looked coldly at everything around him and waited silently, wanting to see what other methods the smiling doll had.
As long as his will remained firm, the smiling doll couldn't easily kill him in this place. The device in the room wasn't large. The doctors with smiling doll masks lifted Anton and sent him to the adjacent room.
In this room, an incomparably large device was displayed, occupying about half of the room.
"It looks so terrifying!" Even Anton, who had been through many things, was completely frozen.
How much electricity could such a large machine release? Did the smiling doll really plan to torture him? Anton was tied and placed on a bed. He looked at a camera above his head, extending from the large device. The doctors slowly moved him towards it.
"Hehehe." A strange laugh came from outside the door. In this quiet and creepy psychiatric hospital room, it was extremely frightening.
"Human, you really like meddling in other people's affairs. Why not try the little game I prepared for you?"
"Let's see if you can handle an electric shock of this magnitude. I hope you don't end up begging for your life."
The smiling doll entered and appeared in front of Anton again.
"I didn't expect you to be so pitiful; I assure you, I've killed more interesting dark entities than you." Anton mocked him.
"You're still very reckless at a time like this!" A fierce expression appeared on the face of the smiling doll as it responded disdainfully, "No one has been able to withstand the level ten electricity in this device. I hope you'll be the first!"
A cruel smile appeared on the face of the smiling doll as it held some nails connected to the machine.
The purpose of the smiling doll in establishing this psychiatric hospital was not to save people or make young patients happy. On the contrary, what it wanted to do was watch as patients electrocuted themselves in front of it, begging for mercy as they drowned in pain. During this process, the smiling doll felt a sense of satisfaction, surpassing any satisfaction from hunger and instinct. Whether it was alcohol, cigarettes, or even drugs, nothing could obsess the smiling doll as much. I was just enjoying the process of torturing others!
At this moment, its eyes looked at Anton, who was lying on the bed. It gestured with its hand, indicating to the doctor beside it to start.
The doctors next to Anton took some huge nails and began to pierce his body.
Clanc! Clanc! Clanc!
Anton felt a sharp pain in his body; his cold and angry expression only made him roar with anger. After some time, four huge nails pierced Anton's body.
"Let's start with level six of torture."
Level six didn't sound severe. However, in reality, almost no one could withstand such an electric shock. The maximum level of electrocution could even kill a monkey. The pain of being paralyzed, the confusion in the brain, and the involuntary release of bodily fluids were unbearable for anyone.
Crack!
Suddenly, the sound of an electric shock rang out. Silver sparks instantly exploded in Anton's body! The electricity rushed through the cables and was discharged into Anton's body through the huge nails piercing him.
This level of electricity was the smiling doll's favorite. While maintaining consciousness, they could also feel the pain caused by the involuntary release of bodily fluids but wouldn't faint. They would remain awake at all times and receive the most realistic and cruel treatment.
However, after the lightning entered Anton's body, it was different from what the smiling doll imagined. As a person who underwent significant improvements, his body had been in a process of constant evolution. Sensations like pain, fatigue, difficulty breathing, and other negative factors were slowly ignored by his brain. On the other hand, his strength, vision, endurance, healing factor, and learning process gradually increased.
So Anton could endure the pain and focus only on one thing. His body was being electrocuted, and his muscles and tissues, especially where the nails were, were burning his muscles. Although it was painful, Anton could endure it.
After more than ten seconds, a voice sounded in Anton's ears.
"Hello, Mr. Policeman, you told me you would come for me and take me out of this place."
Anton's eyes revealed a look of confusion.
"Sara was found by the smiling doll." Even though electricity was still torturing his body, Anton looked towards the source of the voice with concern. Little Sara might be in danger! Not only did he not feel pain, but he also hoped it would last a little longer.
"Is this an illusion?"
Anton's eyes suddenly froze when he saw the body of little Sara. He couldn't believe it and immediately thought of something impossible.
