Chapter 81: Intercepción
"Have you investigated?" Anton asked as he comfortably leaned back in the back seat of the vehicle he was being transported in.
"We found out later than you did. How did you know about the existence of that dark entity so quickly?" Rafael knew that Anton had his methods, but it was almost always that he discovered the existence of dark entities well in advance.
The real reason for this question was to find out if there were new methods for detecting dark entities, but more precisely, to figure out if Anton had a deeper connection to the darkness than all of them.
It was not at all common for Anton to know about dark entities, so with a direct tone, he said, "There are different ways to find out if we are dealing with a dark entity or not. By following these types of group murder cases, you can easily discover that one always comes out alive, and the deaths are deliberate. Besides, I trust my judgment every time a job arises."
Everyone had their own ways of working, and Anton also had his own methods, so now that he was a guardian, no one except Rafael could question his orders.
As they headed towards the area where the dark entity was, the police immediately received changes in orders, and a perimeter around the building began to be established gradually. As a protocol of the Light Association, no one can leave the building until the people taking command arrive and give the order to evacuate the building.
"We have accessed the security cameras. So far, there have been four deaths, and some of them may certainly be innocent," said a man in charge of monitoring.
Anton nodded, now knowing that this demon was not exactly dispensing justice but was having fun with people who believed they had mocked the right sense of things. He knew it was just a simple demon.
"Once we arrive, block any entry or exit; kill anyone who ignores the orders they are being given." Anton was very serious with his words because he knew exactly what was happening.
Rafael adjusted his bulletproof vest and asked, "Do you think the demon is inside one of the two victims?"
"It could be. Surely the body of the one who remains alive is controlled, so that will be our target. We will have to eliminate it; there will be no other choice if I can't neutralize it." Anton said it with a totally natural voice.
In these cases, for everyone, it was better to eliminate the target that was with the demon and being controlled. It was complicated to separate the human from the demon when it possessed them because if it was done willingly, an exorcism would not change things.
"This case should be special; there are situations where humans offer their bodies as puppets for demons in exchange for certain demands from the human offering their body, soul, and thoughts. In that case, we have no choice but to eliminate the human who is surely willingly being controlled." Rafael was surprised; he did not expect Anton to know all this before arriving at the scene, but surely it was a hereditary skill in his family.
"Zz... Alpha Team, I want all Light agents inside the building as soon as we arrive."
"Zz... Beta Team, take care of sealing the exits and keeping civilians away."
While everyone took their orders, a mini-alert had been communicated that there was a certain terrorism report in the building to hide the fact of such a striking mobilization as the one they were in now.
"We are here, sir. Will you take charge personally?" Rafael did not rush to open the car door.
Anton opened his eyes, nodded, and said, "This being is powerful; I must be at the front."
...
At the same time, inside the building, a police officer entered the control room and said, "Sir, the fire team has been withdrawn."
Bowden frowned and asked, "What is the reason?"
"They have orders to keep the crime scene without intervening. The higher-ups have sent the right people to take care of this crime."
"Who?" Bowden was certainly confused.
"They are the envoys of the light. I remember as a child, they once appeared at my uncle's house to deal with his illness, which turned out to be a demon incarnated within his skin." Raúl, who had called Anton, now knew exactly what that priest's job was and knew why he was almost never in the church.
"Do you think it's a demon?" Bowden didn't understand where these claims were coming from. Obviously, everything was very confusing, but they shouldn't jump to hasty conclusions.
While thinking about this, he took his cell phone to make a call but found that he had lost the signal; there was no internet, and it seemed that all this was due to an external intervention.
"Who are you?"
Bowden directed his gaze towards the monitoring room door and suddenly saw people in black suits with military gear fully adapted to their suits entering the monitoring room.
"Step aside and don't intervene; you will be eliminated for interrupting the work accordingly." Said an assistant who looked at the police officer with furrowed eyebrows.
Bowden was frozen and quickly said, "Okay, no one will stop you."
"You should have received your orders, Detective Bowden. At the moment, this crime falls entirely under our jurisdiction." Said a man who handed Bowden a sheet of information.
"Can I speak to whoever is in charge?"
