Chapter 50: A Powerful Entity
"Wait, before I can believe you, I need to know exactly how all these people found out about my son's problems." Julia began to cry, feeling overwhelmed by the confusion.
Anton then understood, turned to the woman, and said, "They are also priests, but unlike us, they were here to check if this place is surrounded by darkness. After that, they would take care of driving away all the people who are not involved with the possessed one and finally prepare the place for us."
"They would be the Adepts of the Light, like inspectors who save a lot of work for the exorcists." Thomas smiled nervously as he looked at Julia, expressing some of her doubts.
At this point, Anton was losing patience, so looking directly at Julia, he said, "You should have your doubts because of how abrupt we have been with your family, but understand that there is no time to waste."
"You know that your son is unwell; you understand perfectly that we are here to help your son, but you fear that he is possessed by evil... But let me tell you something: Evil is in the heart of every person, and it is a direct door to being possessed," Anton said as he took off the black gloves from his hands.
In these cases, there is no need for investigation because the Association of Light only sends very accurate cases of dark entities; it's rare for such cases to be missed. Using ancestral techniques and advanced technology, the association assessed Henry's behavior, looking for clues of demonic presence. However, in this process, the importance of avoiding hasty conclusions is understood, and they consult mental health experts to rule out psychiatric problems.
With confirmation that something sinister is at play, the association implements an evacuation protocol. People who are not involved are carefully guided away from the epicenter, protecting the community from possible catastrophic consequences.
Then, the authentic exorcists of the Association of Light go into action. With ancient rituals and supernatural powers, they face the demon hiding behind the facade of the possessed.
In this case, Thomas is acting naturally because this is the procedure that must be followed; only so many might understand it. But for these cases, the Association of Light has a protocol, and each one uses it in the way that suits them best.
"How about this: let us do our job, and if you believe that your son is not possessed, we will leave, and we will not appear again," Thomas said, trying to keep the situation from getting out of control.
Julia nodded, then asked, "So, what should I do?"
"Just keep quiet and stay on the sidelines of anything that happens," Anton said, refocusing his attention on the room.
"Hahaha, what is that? Hmm, it smells like the foulest shit from this horrendous place, you damn dirty bastards."
"Come on, let me out!"
"Haha haha!"
After taking the lead, Anton closed his eyes and finished a silent prayer before letting Thomas take control of the situation.
Standing in front of the room, the three had just reached the door, and the screams inside became even crazier.
"I'm going to kill you and fuck you dead!"
"Yes, I'm definitely going to kill you!"
"I'm going to cut your damn throat, you cursed son of a bitch!"
Crack! Crack! Crack!
No one knew exactly what was happening inside the room, but suddenly, loud blows were heard one after another, very striking.
Rrrr!
What followed was a very rough screech.
"My God, Father Anton, it seems like he's moving the bed." Julie covered her mouth with her hands and trembled as she heard how her innocent son was behaving.
Sometimes, when he entered, he moved the bed towards the door with force. This is simply not something humans can do."
"Don't worry, everything is fine." Anton, who had been following the poor woman, deliberately took off his own cross and handed it to her to hold tightly.
"Wherever your faith is, believe that all of this will end by the end of the night," Anton said, giving her a reassuring look.
The confident smile was contagious, and Julie's originally rapid breathing began to stabilize.
Thomas, who had prepared himself, murmured, "I'm going to open the door."
Feeling the temperature suddenly drop, Thomas took a deep breath and opened the door with a fiery determination in his gaze.
When the door opened, a strong gust of wind suddenly blew in front of the door.
The first to take the brunt was Thomas at the front; he opened his eyes wide and felt as if he had been hit by a car and was about to fly backward.
"This is something I can't handle." That was Thomas's first thought as he felt his body fly backward.
However, the moment Thomas's feet left the ground, Anton silently took a step forward, stood in front of Julia, who had wide eyes from seeing something inhuman, and manipulating the energy of his body, Anton created a kind of aura around him to repel that attack.
"[200 faith points have been used.]"
Anton, who held Thomas in the air, stepped back a bit due to the strong pushing force and murmured, "In the name of life, light, and purity, give me strength to face evil and emerge victorious."
"Dear Priest, do you still feel hatred knowing that you could have saved Smith's life but are still indifferent about it?" At that moment, the body of the little Henry, who had been possessed, looked at Anton and asked with a vicious smile on his face.
Anton stared at him and said, "Who are you trying to impress with that? You know perfectly well that I can send you back home whenever I want it that way."
"Hahaha, a damn corrupted being like hell trying to be a good person... Anton ShadowBane, you're an impostor."
