42 - Keep improving
Baxter let out a howl.
Auuuu!
With this, he indicated to Anie to eat first.
As soon as Luke returned, he lay down and began to take care of the guard duty at the entrance.
At this moment, he had returned to his usual place, and immediately thought about how to use the ten enhancer potions with an S+ rating that he obtained when fighting the female brown bear.
The first time the combat rating reaches S+, the rewards include 3 potions to triple the points obtained from normal eating, and ten enhancer potions.
Unlike the first potions he obtained, these new ones had an S+ rating, indicating that the potion was literally different from the previous ones.
[S+ class enhancer potion...
After use, it can strengthen both internal organs and external limbs, the rate of improvement can vary from 10% to 80%, and the effect will disappear after the body accepts the power of the potion.]
The explanation of how this enhancer potion works is easy to understand, in fact, very similar to the previous potion that Luke remembers sharing with his parents and young cubs.
These enhancement potions 'enhance' the body's basic attributes, and the younger the one who ingests it, the better the results will be. But there is also a negative variant, which is when the potion is ingested numerous times, the effect is not much.
Luke had learned this, so he would not waste a potion like he did last time.
Therefore, if you delve a little deeper into the power of this potion, it unlocks the potential of any part of the body. Then, by strengthening each limb and organ through improving genetics and breaking the species limit.
"No wonder Baxter can increase size, strength, and intelligence by using this potion. Unlike the others, this has the best ratings that I will possibly get in battle." Luke deduced all this for himself.
This time Luke will use some of these potions, all with the intention of strengthening himself as much as possible.
If an internal organ has to be improved, it would be the heart and brain, followed by the lungs.
After all, these two organs are the most important in deciding life and death in a fight.
He still remembers when he was stunned by a blow from the bear.
"[Do you want to use an S+ enhancer potion?]"
After Luke intended to use the potion, a gray message appeared in his evolutionary panel.
"Let's do it..." Luke approved this message.
Immediately afterwards, he felt a cold energy enter through his throat and down into his stomach, then this cold energy turned hot and ran throughout his body.
This energy wandered through the limbs and bones of his wolf body. Any place that has sensation will feel like boiling water is passing through that place, even giving him a feeling of warmth.
Luke thought of trying to manipulate this energy and send it to a single point, but as expected, he failed.
After this hot energy moved for a while, it slowly rushed towards the front right leg of his body.
Crack!
A crunch was heard and that burning energy concentrated mostly on his right front paw, giving him unbearable pain.
Luke, who had already had many fierce fights, could not help but growl quietly.
"It hurts so much!"
This burning energy gathered in his right front paw, causing unimaginable pain.
This is not an ordinary physical pain. At this point, it seems as if his bones are being destroyed and then healed at an unrecognizable speed.
After Luke gritted his teeth tightly and groaned in pain, in the cave, all the wolves noticed Luke's anomaly.
Although they don't fully understand Luke's behavior, seeing his body trembling with apparent pain, they all gathered around him.
Especially Ondina, Luke's sister. Seeing her brother suffering, whom she had admired since she could remember, she approached with her crystal-clear eyes and licked her brother's fur.
"Awoo!" Baxter thought Luke had bitten himself while sleeping, after all, he himself had experienced such things, so he thought it had happened to Luke now.
Baxter wagged his tail as he watched the entrance of the cave with vigilant eyes and occasionally looked at Luke.
As for Anie and Ardad, they were sniffing around for something abnormal, something that would explain what was happening.
Luke wanted to indicate to everyone that nothing was happening. But under severe pain, he could not express the complete meaning.
This caused Luke to grit his teeth tightly, resisting the pain caused by the boiling energy.
After this hot energy poured into Luke's right front paw, his cells began to change. His bones became stronger and his skin tougher.
Although the shape of his right front paw has not changed much, only Luke knows the power that paw now holds!
The hot energy is still strengthening his right front paw and part of his body, so he only focuses on enduring.
Time is also passing slowly with this intensified pain.
After about an hour, that hot energy gradually weakened.
The burning pain also became much lighter. But the power did not stop, with the last trace of energy pouring into his right front paw, the bones, tendons, skin, and cells of his paw also advanced.
"Grrr!" Luke let out a low growl and shook his body.
After this growl, Luke's body returned to normal.
Seeing that Luke had returned to normal, Anie, Ardad, Ondina, and Baxter also relaxed, and the worries in their eyes had disappeared.
After Luke got up, he first reassured them not to worry, and then he jumped out of the cave.
In a short time, he began to feel that both his right front paw and the nerves and muscles that gave him strength had strengthened.
Boom!
After exiting the cave, Luke hit a pile of solidified ice and snow with his paw. Due to the severe cold weather, the ice and snow piles in the Arctic will freeze extremely hard.
But now that Luke's paw hit the ice with force, the great force exerted caused the ice to break and the snow to scatter.
His strength increased!
The force exerted by his right front paw even reached the level of attack power that can only be achieved after unlocking the hunting talent.
If Luke and the female brown bear were to fight again, he is sure he can win without activating his talent. With this, he thought that all his sacrifice was not in vain.
Auuuu!
With a powerful howl, Luke struck the ice again.
Blows after blows repeatedly.
The powerful force of his right front paw was exerted to the fullest.
However, as the number of blows increased, Luke also discovered that using his right front paw to attack obviously doubled the energy consumed.
It can be seen that the fierce force caused by strengthening comes at a cost, and that is his Esper energy.
But overall, the pros outweigh the cons.
At this time, Baxter and Anie were at the entrance of the cave, guarding against any enemies.
Seeing Luke, who was not only healthy and well, but also returned with a much stronger aura covering his body, they all howled in unison.
After a while, Luke got used to the force contained in his front paw, so he trained by hitting the bottom of the cave and expanding the place.
Now the food in the cave did not give him an excessive amount of points, but this does not mean that it is not food that fills him up and keeps him alive.
