21 - A Gift
During this time Luke had a lot of time to think over and over what he wanted to do in this new life as a wolf. To make it all much more interesting, he set several goals along the way and objectives to accomplish.
He was now completely free, there was no law or person that would stop him from doing what he wanted to do from now on. There were no humans or money that there would be gaps in taking what is ours and what is not.
In this life, the only thing that changes whether one lives or dies is strength. Luke just needs strength to take it all and that is what he will do from now on.
There are still five potential potions left.
Under his observations he planned to use the potential potions he had left for Baxter, his sister and mother who had lower stats than his father.
There wasn't much attachment to his new family, he had only spent a month here and owed no one anything.
Now in the cave.
Both his father and mother slept soundly, regaining every ounce of strength to continue surviving in this white hell.
Meanwhile, the remaining carcass of the female Musk Ox, originally weighing just over four hundred kilograms, had been devoured by the herd in these last few days and there wasn't much left.
Right now Luke could imagine the size of her body, if compared to the largest wolves in the world the Canadians were the ones that dominated, and now he was sure that her size was equal to or larger than those wolves.
After a while Luke got up and walked over to Baxter, who was sleeping soundly with his stomach on his back.
Now his little minion slept soundly as his head rested on a gray, furry pillow.
These two are thick as thieves, they wouldn't part even to sleep and the mother of the little gray wolf didn't seem to mind this childish behavior of the two of them so she simply fell asleep next to him.
Fixing her crimson eyes on Baxter, her evolutionary panel appeared in front of her eyes and then with a fixed intention she poured an enhancer potion over Baxter's body
Baxter, who was sleeping very sweetly and drooling, seemed to have sensed something.
The four little wolf paws also grabbed the air in the white mist that was coming off Luke's body, and Luke was still moaning as that mist invaded every pore of his skin.
Sssss!
Auge!
Luke, who was very serious granting this dumb minion a golden opportunity couldn't help but hit him in the head due to his stupid expression.
"Oooh!"
Baxter woke up immediately.
He opened his dark sleepy eyes and saw that standing in front of him was his highest lord, the leader of the pack.
He didn't know what had happened, and seeing that he had done nothing wrong he groaned in pain.
Don't you love me?
But Luke proceeded to ignore him and walked this time to someone who at first did not think of granting him this opportunity. The wolf girl who protected him in his early days as a puppy, she deserved just as much as everyone else this chance.
Likewise, a potion of potential was injected into the wolf girl. But the wolf girl was obviously still sleeping soundly in the arms of the mother wolf, and did not notice anything at all.
Luke wasn't interested in bestowing this goodness he was giving these wolves, he didn't need it as they would possibly never really understand it.
As she slept, the wolf girl stretched out her paws and sank into her mother's paws, as if she was dreaming she was sleeping on a big fluffy white cloud.
The one who followed now was his sister, who like him was born on the same day and to the same mother. This girl who in truth was indifferent to him in her early days of being here, had gained some of his affection so now he was about to give her this opportunity.
His sister didn't notice either, she was still sleeping as she had been doing from the beginning in the cave.
"Ow!" Baxter saw all that.
It can be seen from this that Baxter as a different species, has a very keen perception.
"Au!"
Luke roared at Baxter, signaling him to stop howling as if he needed something.
When he received his leader's warning, Baxter had no choice but to shut his mouth.
Although he often doesn't understand Luke's behavior, he is still very obedient.
At this point Baxter was about to continue sleeping.
But seeing the little gray wolf next to him sleeping soundly, he was awakened again by the paw of the boss.
He was very angry.
How can this gray wolf sleep soundly and he can't?
Snort!
Do you sleep so sweetly even if you are my little pillow?
Baxter in a fit of anger also hit the little gray wolf on the head with a paw.
The little gray wolf is now level 3 and its body size is about the same as a normal level 4 arctic wolf.
With this kick, the little gray wolf, who was not as strong as Baxter, became dizzy.
He didn't even have a chance to howl.
Looking at the little gray wolf that was awakened by a kick from the one he considered his battle buddy, he felt offended without knowing what this situation was.
But then he saw Baxter settling back down to sleep on his body, as if he was the pillow of this mad wolf, and under his bewildered gaze Baxter closed his eyes.
The little gray wolf was obviously very confused, not knowing what had happened.
"They're just mosquitoes..." That was what Luke wanted to say, but it wasn't possible since he couldn't speak.
...
The next day, Luke stared silently into the dark cave.
Baxter, his little sister, his mother and the wolf girl obviously slept soundly for much longer than usual.
After waking up, under Luke's orders, those three pups went over to eat what was left of the female Musk Ox.
Baxter's fur became shinier and her limbs, which were originally as thick as a cat's, also became thicker.
It should be known that there are wolves of 40 to 60 kilograms, but there are also wolves that exceed 80 kilograms and those were considered the largest and most dominant wolves in this world today.
On the other hand, the changes of his sister and the wolf girl are not so obvious since they didn't have that mark that made them an awakened spice, but to the naked eye they have grown a lot.
"Rrrr!"
After seeing that the food was finished, Luke let out a growl in a low tone.
Soon after, Baxter immediately followed suit.
Under his plans for the day today, he decided to leave with Baxter from the cave and went hunting.
Generally speaking, the enhancer potions will show their true signs of acceptance in the next 48 hours.
Baxter is a different species, with great potential in his physique, and Luke could see that from the beginning his growth is abnormal.
As for his sister and the wolf girl he estimates that they showed significant changes in about three days at most.
During this time, eating well and having a lot of physical activity may help them to evolve their potential.
Therefore, Luke decided to let them eat and go out today to hunt for their own personal gains.
He has always been confident that Baxter has always been the main force from now on.
Since Baxter was promoted to level 3, his strength as an awakened species is incredibly strong.
Compared to ordinary arctic wolves, it is stronger in terms of endurance, speed, strength and growth.
Even the learning ability and IQ are much sharper than any other wolf.
This he was able to discover as Baxter had been following him since he hunted the female Musk Ox and found his learning to be terrifying.
Now having their targets very clear, the wolf duo searched for food urgently.
Soon, they found a pair of Atlantic puffins that were very weak on the snow.
Frailecillos are not common to find but it is not surprising to see them in this part of the Arctic either, these are birds that inhabit from northern Spain to the Arctic.
They are recognized by having a very colorful and large triangular bill in shades of black and red. Their black body, white face and abdomen resemble a toga.
Among the pair of Flailecillo, the one that stands out the most is the male which was quite large considering the common ones that are usually seen.
Each can't provide much meat, at least the necessary one Luke needs for this day.
But this was enough for now as the days were very short and food very scarce.
Seeing this pair of birds, Luke prepared to hunt them.
After being affirmed by Luke, Baxter hid his figure in the bushes and approached the pair of Flailecillos who looked very exhausted.
Luke also looked at his voice slightly at the value of the male Flailecillo.
"[...Species: Atlantic puffin (male)
Level: Level 1
Esper Energy: 125
Endurance: 12
Strength: 11
Defense: 9
Speed: 56...]
This was the strongest of the pair.
The speed was incredibly terrifying, making them difficult birds to catch if he made a mistake right now.
But the Flailecillo are weak, so he just needs to make sure to hit them or cause them difficulty so that their veil would be impeded.
Now, Luke approached them and started a bloody massacre.
Luke first hit the ground raising a heavy curtain of snow, and with his current speed it was not at all difficult to finish off this breadbasket of birds.
His wolf forelegs in turn showed sharp claws that could cut through anything.
He took the lead in attacking the male of the pair and slapped him to death on the spot.
Then, with his paw he struck the female who had tried to fly, knocking her small body to the ground.
Finally, with blood still on the corner of Luke's mouth, he returned to the other Flailecillo and began to eat them before resuming his journey.
Baxter on his side, had walked into a bush and surprisingly came across some arctic rabbits. With his quick reaction and good speed, he successfully hunted them for the first time in his life.
Therefore, Baxter was very happy.
While howling, he also asked Luke to eat.
In Baxter's eyes, no matter whether Luke hunted the food or not, the boss has the first right to enjoy it.
Of course, in hunting, the arctic rabbits he eats don't count.
Luke walked over, looked at the four carcasses on the ice and snow, and then stroked Baxter's head.
This time there was no force, it was a caress.
Baxter's IQ far exceeded that of ordinary wolves and this made him feel happy to receive a caress from his boss.
"Oooh!"
Baxter howled excitedly.
Luke on his side gained some points from the pair of Flailecillos.
"[2 Poins evolution points gained for eating Atlantic Puffin!"]
"[1.9 Poins evolution points gained for eating Atlantic Puffin!"]
"[1.4 Poins evolution points gained for eating Atlantic Puffin!"]
"[1.2 Poins evolution points gained for eating Atlantic Puffin!"]
...
After eating the pair of Flailecillo, the value of the meal was reduced to 0.10.
However, it was a refreshing comedy.
