60 - Similarities
"Is the brown bear awake? This small message confused Luke and immediately related this fact to Baxter, who was also an awakened beast.
Needless to say, brown bears are omnivores. In most cases, there was no need to go out hunting like usual predators.
Therefore, in this type of battle, the brown bear did not fear being injured like other types of predators that depend on their health, strength, and ability to survive. Even if a powerful brown bear is injured, it can survive in many ways as its diet does not focus on a few things.
Rrrr!!!
At that moment, it seemed as if the brown bear in front of Luke had been poisoned. Just this roar was enough for Luke to feel a terrible evil vibe overflowing from this enemy in front of him.
Immediately afterward, Luke saw the brown bear move. But now, it seemed as if the brown bear had surpassed all of its kind, reaching a terribly terrifying speed. Even with this speed, the hundreds of kilograms in weight did not seem to be anything for the brown bear.
Right now, it demonstrated that it could defeat any type of creature. Faced with the direct attack of the brown bear and the increase in strength, Luke did not retreat at all.
Luke succumbed to his animal instinct and dodged most of the lethal attacks of this brown bear. But the attacks of this brown bear are not the same as a Musk Ox, since when he dodges, this huge bear changes the position of its body and with the very humanized maneuver of its body, it hit him hard.
This blow contained enormous force that even the air howled under the speed of the attack, and he knew that this blow was intended to kill him.
Luke knows he cannot afford to take such a direct hit. In these moments, these attacks of this bear could easily surpass the ordinary strength of his kind.
With such a magnitude blow, Luke even thought that his defense would not be enough for him to be able to get up again and resume the fight. Even with his passive healing ability ongoing, there was no guarantee that he could get up again. So with a burst of strength in his muscles, Luke maneuvered his body to the limit to avoid his enemy's blow.
The brown bear's paw hit the fairy, cracking the ice on the ground. The large ice layer broke like glass simultaneously, and countless fragments of ice along with the snow flew everywhere.
These fragments also hit Luke, making him shake his face as he focused again on his enemy. This type of aggressive attack reminded him of what kind of beast he was facing now.
This is an experienced old brown bear who just woke up to become a completely different beast!
A powerful beast that had succumbed to an unknown fury.
This made Luke more alert than ever.
Has this brown bear awakened and become something completely different?
No matter how strong the resistance and physical strength are, how long can this brown bear withstand such a movement of attacks? This bear was definitely no longer normal, but an alien beast, something that should not be alive in this world.
A Berserker was a warrior who fought in a frenzy of fury. If this style of combat is attributed to a brown bear, who could imagine how dangerous and potentially deadly it would be to encounter such an enemy?
This brown bear is crazy.
When he closes the distance between him and Luke, he jumps two to three meters towards Luke's body.
By then, a trace of cruelty shone in Luke's intelligent eyes. He turned slightly to one side and extended his powerful right arm, hitting the belly of the brown bear fiercely with his sharp claws.
Boom!
The sound of sharp claws piercing flesh could be heard clearly. Luke used his sharp claws to make a terrifying wound on the brown bear's abdomen.
But unfortunately, with a thick coat and strong muscles, he was not really fatally wounded.
At the same time, this attack, which could cost him a lot, reached the point where even Luke, with his great speed, could not escape, and he was hit by the bear's claw on the side of his back.
This mere scratch made Luke feel intense and burning pain on the side of his body.
With this blow, the points required to maintain his passive healing ability began to decrease.
Blood immediately began to flow from Luke's body, staining his beautiful fur as pure as snow.
This is the result of the terrifying power of this brown bear. But Luke was not the only one injured, and it could be said that he even won in this exchange of attacks since he caused significant damage to his enemy, causing the brown bear's Esper energy and blood loss to be greater than his.
However, for both of them, who are predators, these injuries are very insignificant.
Rrrr!
The brown bear snarled with frustration and anger, unleashing a new attack. Its huge paws hid lethal claws, in addition to its blow that was equivalent to hundreds of hammers striking at the same time in one point.
In a small fraction of a second, he attacked Luke, but Luke was already prepared and jumped back to dodge the attack, causing the ice to crack again.
Luke's huge body continued to dodge most of the time, being effective and intelligent at the same time.
But until now, Luke knew he was being suppressed by the attacks of this fierce enemy.
Just at this moment, if his father's pack were to face this brown bear again, the chances of everyone surviving are minimal. Now Luke, who could be considered the most powerful arctic wolf, had to distance himself from the brown bear in front of him to better plan the battle.
Even with his hunt field advantage, this would only give him a minute of intense battle where he wasn't even sure he could win.
It must be said that if he enters directly into an exchange of attacks and Luke fails to defeat him, by the time the minute is up his injuries could be very serious.
The battle had quickly retreated to the top of a slope, backing up further and further. From the mountainside, the fight reached the place where Luke had been surveying the surroundings.
In this direction, there were also deep snow-covered pits, which made it impossible for both of them to see the terrain.
At this moment, Luke could not retreat, so he continued to fight the brown bear, causing injuries to his enemy as well as receiving considerable damage himself.
The endurance and strength of both were greatly exhausted.
The current appearance of the brown bear was very haggard, bleeding everywhere.
As for Luke, he was not much better off, as he had large wounds on both his forehead and back as well as his legs.
Although Luke did not receive direct attacks, the brown bear's claws were still causing damage. Despite Luke's thick fur and muscular body protecting him, he still could not stop the brown bear's claws.
"Hoo... Hoo... Hoo..."
Now Luke and the brown bear had stopped facing each other for a few moments.
They were separated by a distance of tens of meters, looking at each other with impressive coldness and ferocity, and both were panting violently.
Even the brown bear with extremely high endurance, due to excessive violent attacks and long movements along the way, had consumed much more endurance than it could maintain.
Luke was not much better off, as he had been both attacking and fleeing, which had consumed much of his energy. Therefore, the two came to a sudden mutual rest.
At the same time, from the brown bear's cave came the infantile sound of a cub's roar. This made Luke look in that direction with his crimson eyes.
The brown bear's cave was close to where they were fighting, and Luke saw in the distance a small brown bear at least two months old.
"Does this brown bear have a mate?" Luke felt really worried.
But at this moment, the familiar scent of the little bear reached Luke's nostrils, giving him an incredibly clear idea of who this brown bear belonged to.
"The cub that escaped..." Luke thought upon seeing this little bear. When he killed the female brown bear, he did not find her cub, but now it turns out that the son has reunited with his father.
This was easy to imagine, the brown bear's hatred immediately unloaded onto the wolves.
It was then that Luke looked at that brown bear with coldness, its natural enemies must be eradicated before it causes a tragedy for both its pack and its father.
Seeing the state of this brown bear, Luke understood that this beast would not stop until it exacts revenge, and now he, no matter what, would kill this brown bear.
