59 - An abnormal fury
Rrrr!
Baxter wanted to stay and fight together with that big brown bear. But looking into Luke's cold eyes, that severe gaze made him silently step back.
But he didn't leave completely, he buried his head in the snow behind a rock while wagging his tail, ready to join the battle at any moment.
In this kind of situation, for him who is considered the second strongest wolf in the pack, it is impossible to leave his leader in this kind of battle.
The cold of the snow came from howling winds. In this dark place, slowly two of the most powerful predators on the Arctic continent looked at each other as if each wanted to tear the other limb from limb.
But both knew that fighting in this messy place was not a reasonable idea on some occasions. Generally, two predators of the same nature avoid each other, and when some kind of predator enters guarded territory, the most normal thing is to scare off that predator.
But this brown bear was different, he ran straight towards him.
The hate in his eyes seemed to tear him apart with just his gaze.
This made Luke squint his crimson eyes, focus his gaze, and saw some kind of dark vapor coming out of that brown bear's body, emitting a touch of coldness.
For the brown bear, this was his last hunt, but suddenly he felt a pressure that gradually made him feel uneasy coming from that Arctic wolf.
Luke in these moments, after having no worries about his future and being committed to no one but his path, let himself go on this occasion.
In the dark night and feeling the snow under his paws, Luke let out a powerful roar that shook the surrounding mountains.
"Roar!!!"
The brown bear was not intimidated and also roared fiercely at the wolf. He looked at that arrogant Arctic wolf on the snowy slope with infinite resentment in his eyes.
Because the female brown bear with whom he mated some time ago was hunted by Arctic wolves. He remembers it perfectly, the bloody scene, a persistent smell of what surely belonged to a wolf.
Even the blood scattered on the ground was not all the blood of his female, but there was also some Arctic wolf blood.
The smell of fresh blood can never be confused. After that day, the brown bear in front of Luke created a powerful resentment that could never be erased.
Any Arctic wolf that enters his territory must die!
This hatred and anger, not only for his female or that his cub almost died tragically, but for guilt. It is true that brown bears lose interest in the female who gave birth to their children, and they do not care for the cubs either, but that does not mean they do not care.
Since that cub has his blood, any creature would feel obliged to protect what is theirs.
Rrrr!
At this moment, the brown bear finally ran towards the snow slope where Luke was located. He wanted to confront this wolf that was much larger than normal.
This was not something that stopped him, and what surprised him is that this arctic wolf did not flee like other wolves would have done.
There wasn't even a gesture of fear. The brown bear could feel that gaze observing him, the wolf seemed to have no fear of his presence.
This simple action made the brown bear even angrier, does that stupid wolf not fear his presence?
With resentment overflowing from his body, the brown bear approached that wolf in the distance.
Soon there was only a distance of two or three meters, so the front paws of the brown bear headed towards that arctic wolf that watched him motionless.
Boom!
The brown bear's front paws broke forcefully into the position where Luke was, the blow was so strong that the snow and ice were scattered.
But after the brown bear focused his sight on the results, he did not see that arctic wolf anywhere.
It was then, before the brown bear could react, that he felt a strong blow on his back. More force from that blow surpassed many of the arctic wolves he had faced before.
Luke's sharp claws pierced the thick skin of the brown bear, leaving serious blood marks on his fur.
But even though this force was very strong, it still didn't knock down the brown bear. On the other hand, he turned around but always protected his abdomen.
By then, a pair of crimson eyes and that wolf who was Luke looked at the brown bear with arrogance.
The brown bear knew that this wolf was fast and flexible. Just now, he didn't see clearly when he got behind him.
When he knew that he was facing a worthy opponent, the brown bear became serious.
He also discovered that in the dark crimson eyes of this arctic wolf, he didn't even have the slightest fear when facing him!
Furthermore, the burning pain in his back also tells him something very important, the wolf seems to be the biggest enemy he has ever faced in his life.
This pain was something he had never felt with other arctic wolves.
How dare a lone wolf attack him?
In the experience of that brown bear, lone wolves were not so fierce. However, it was also due to Luke's great performance.
Like the bullfighters in Spain, he let this brown bear, whose IQ is higher than that of wolves but lower than that of humans, think that suddenly he was a predator hunting a stupid wolf.
In all the Arctic wolves that the brown bear had killed, he smelled the scent of their body or blood. He wanted to find the culprit for his losses through his sense of smell.
But Luke was not going to give his enemy the chance to do as he pleased. Like a white lightning, he arrived at the side of that brown bear and struck with the intention of blinding his enemy's vision.
With Luke's current speed, he had also demonstrated his ferocity.
Luke didn't feel like facing a brown bear today, but this brown bear had lost his composure and was acting with rage, and he knew that this brown bear wouldn't give up until he killed him.
"Well, then die and become my blanket!"
Luke wants to know how strong a brown bear's head is.
Will it bleed to death?
Boom!
Luke's right paw struck the brown bear's head hard.
Because during this period of time, the brown bear, who had experienced countless fights, had an obvious delay of fatigue.
When facing a critical attack, he will unconsciously dodge. But Luke's strike was effective and clearly left a bloody wound near the corner of the brown bear's eye.
This greatly affected his vision, and once again the brown bear found the Arctic wolf and tried to attack.
Boom!
But the wolf backed away again, and this gave the brown bear enough time to clean the blood that was obstructing his vision.
Then the brown bear used his sense of smell to track the Arctic wolf.
But this time, Luke's blood was on the brown bear's claws, and it was enough for him to perceive that smell he had hated so much. His eyes melted into fury, he lifted his gaze and looked at Luke who was in front of him.
"This brown bear is different, his aura is chilling..." Luke thought as he looked at that huge brown bear. "It seems that today will be a long night..."
The brown bear moved his body and his muscles seemed to contract, as if something was moving inside his body. With this, Luke saw a clear message on his evolutionary panel.
"[Brown bear awakened, berserker fury!]"
