04:16PM on 12/31/24 in Northern California. Before end of 2024 I will share a good true short story of keeping people safe. Making a post about my life between Mid-January 2020 to Early-April 2020 when I lived in a van on the streets next to a plaza at a university city. I had a part-time job as a custodian to pay the rent, and was cheap to afford, and enough to pay for food and other things I needed to be sane and safe. Speaking of safe, there were nights in the Midnight to the very early hours I see young college students standing around near my spot, I would say something like to the college student individual or the group of college students, that it wasn’t safe to be out here, there’s a lot of homeless people, most of them are not right in the head, and other type of people that seem to be sketchy, I would say to get home safe as soon as possible. Every time when this happened, I would take peaks from the inside van curtains to look outside the window at times to check on the college student individual or the group of college students, to make sure that college student individual or the group of college students were safe til getting a ride home. Can’t believe sometime in the middle of next month will be the 5th dark and light often-time year anniversary on it, if you want to call it that. I thought I share a good true short story. Thanks, Mike! I'd already read about this case, but you told it better, as always. It's really disturbing... I know it's hard for vicyims of domestic violence to escape their aggressor, but Emily was in the early stages of it... I mean, he hadn't yet succeed to cut her off of her family and friends, as aggessors usually do... Poor girl, she probably was so in love that kept hoping things would change. Too bad she decided to put an end to it on an occasion where there was no one to turn to. And the audacity of this piece of s**t, playing the victim of a woman half his age, "half" his height, half his weight. That truly makes me furious! Well, have a Happy New Year, Mike! Love ya!
