I've heard this before but the hardest thing to hear is her statement being read. You hear that it is just a child expressing her pain and anguish the best way she can express. "I love my Dad and my Mom very much." And "I don't want to see my 'stuff'" feels like something any of us would have said at 13. Its innocence, with all of the hurt behind it, just kills me. Thank god she made it out alive because there are too many children that do not.
