Why did they only dig 1 snow cave, why not several Or make it bigger, they had time, before they lost everything, which they wouldn't have done if they had done the above. The three adults there didn't seem to have much common sense.

Not a fan of this type of story. In your other videos I'm interested in the deranged minds of the killers or trying to imagine where the victim went wrong. But this video was just 100% sad without any, like, interesting angle to it or analysis. Just a horribly sad story

As soon as I started watching this video, I wanted to leave a comment and suggest researching the 2011 Kimberley Ultramarathon put on by an organization called ‘Racing the Planet in Western Australia. I believe it has gotten a good bit of media coverage, but isn’t something I come across on YouTube often, and definitely not really in the true crime genre. Eight runners were trapped when a wildfire ripped through a gorge near the race course, at least two of those women made it out, but with burns covering anywhere from 70-80 percent of their body. One of them is Turia Pitt, who has become a motivational speaker, author, and appeared on 60 minutes Australia back in 2018 I believe. It’s hard to say how things could have turned out if those organizing the event made better choices when it came to prioritizing runner safety.

Thanks, Mike! What a sad, sad story! But, you know, I too blame Tom. Even when you were telling it I felt nervous, anxious, with him insisting! I don't like people that constantly say "You can do this!" when the person herself knows she can't. Reminds me of the army. I really hate it. By the way (but not related at all lol), nice new shirt. Very cool storytelling, Mike! Mt. Hood is beautiful, but quite unforgiving. But definitely worth a visit to Timberline. The exterior was the only part of the lodge that they used in filming The Shining. I guess the interior wasn’t posh enough.

Hey man, I love your videos. I’m at work on my lunch break watching it in my car. I am 12 minutes in. The audio is not matching the video however, I hear your voice and a second or 2 later I see your mouth forming the words I just heard. Just wanted you to know, it might be because I am playing it through my car speakers, maybe there is a Bluetooth delay? Idk, but if I were you I would want to know.
