I was in Old Orchard Beach this past summer on vacation, and we spent some time in Portland, and coming from the most bigoted part of the Midwest, rural Ohio, it was absolutely mind boggling to us, we passed like 13 churches and 100% of them has Pride flags. Keep in mind where I'm at the churches all fly Israel flags and half of them have graveyards full of imaginary aborted babies on display, definitely a different world, but certainly not in a bad way.

This is such a stupid comment but there was a lot of TV talk so fuck it. My problem with TV anymore is that nothing ever ends, it just kind of falls apart. Also everyone is so risk averse that new seasons are like 6 episodes now and then it’s 2 years between seasons bc we have to stop production for 6 months to see if people like it enough to get a second season. Everything always has to be ending but also basically just be an advertisement for the next season.

The first time I saw Ridiculousness (like 3 years ago) I thought that guy was Michael Rappaport. Also about radio making you feel less lonely while driving around, I ruined that for myself when I started following a broadcast engineer's blog where he explains how most radio stations are just fully automated because iHeart and the other company that own all the stations are too fucking cheap to put a human on the air 24/7.
