Well, the grid is still something that is a bit unknown for me. You can do so much in it that it is a bit overwhelming

You could probably do this fairly easily in the grid by modulating the phase input of a sampler.

Very true. It does, i just like to learn different techniques. It feels that with fm it adds also a certain distortion/crunch to it that sounds old skool.
